On Christmas week, Netflix is bringing a music documentary, a sci-fi movie, a period drama TV series, and a different type of superhero movie. As 2020 comes to an end, streaming services continue to house those movies that couldn’t get a theatrical release due to the coronavirus pandemic or that are getting a limited release along with hitting the world of streaming. In addition to that, Netflix continues adding new content every week, both original and licensed.

Last weekend, Netflix added a variety of content, as were seasons 1 and 2 of Black Ink Crew: New York, seasons 10 and 13 of The Challenge, seasons 1 and 2 of Teen Mom 2, more Jeopardy, and the movies Grizzlies, The Professor and the Madman, Nocturnal Animals, and Braven. The streaming giant also welcomed the drama series Tiny Pretty Things, the crime documentary The Ripper, and the drama Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, to add some balance. This weekend, the platform will see the arrival of the heist comedy The Con Is On, the romantic drama After We Collided, the animated movie Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas, and the children’s TV series Timmy Time.

Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled, but as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown casts aspersions on Daphne.

We Can Be Heroes

We Can Be Heroes is a superhero movie written and directed by Robert Rodriguez and a stand-alone sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. We Can Be Heroes will see the children of Earth’s superheroes team up after their parents are kidnapped by alien invaders, forcing them to learn to work together so they can rescue their parents and save the world as well. Starring are YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra, Christian Slater, Adriana Barraza, and Taylor Dooley, who returns as Lavagirl.
