Whether it be fantastic comedy or sheer sadness, the company knows how to draw an audience in, which is largely down to the wide array of terrific characters that have been developed throughout the stories.

While fans are able to immerse themselves in the movie, they often want to play in it as well, and throughout the years, there have been some terrific games based on Pixar properties.

10 The Incredibles: The Rise Of The Underminer (2005)

Superheroes always make for fantastic video game characters, which is why The Incredibles was a perfect choice to base a game around. The original movie ended on a huge cliffhanger with The Underminer villain appearing, and while it took Pixar a long time to actually create a sequel, fans didn’t have to wait that long to fight the villain themselves.

In 2005, The Incredibles: Rise Of The Underminer was released, which was a game that allowed fans to portray Mr. Incredible or Frozone as they tackled The Underminer and his minions. It’s a fun action game that really did fill the gap for many fans.

9 LEGO The Incredibles (2018)

As previously mentioned, superheroes and video games go hand in hand, which is why there have been multiple based around The Incredibles. Within this game, the characters got the LEGO treatment, becoming the latest franchise to be built in brick form for a game.

There have been some amazing LEGO video games over the years, with these being fun for the entire family. They bring a sense of imagination and creativity while allowing gamers the chance to play through both movies themselves.

8 WALL-E (2008)

This video game takes players through the movie, beat by beat with different tasks and challenges coming up along the way. It’s an exciting platformer that is perfect for anybody who loves this story, with both WALL-E and EVE being represented as playable characters.

It doesn’t have quite as much action as some other Disney Pixar video games, which is mainly due to the fact that the movie itself doesn’t have as much. However, the charisma of the characters shines through, making it a lot of fun.

7 Toy Story 3: The Video Game (2010)

The Toy Story characters are some of the most iconic in animated movie history, which is why they’re perfect for a video game. This particular game obviously plays on the third movie, with different levels that go along with the movie itself.

However, the game really comes alive with the Toy Box Mode, which is actually an open world. This has plenty of customizable elements, allowing people to really dive into the world and have as much fun as possible with the characters.

6 Monsters, Inc. Scream Team (2001)

Monsters, Inc. Scream Team might not have the flashy graphics that later Disney Pixar games would have, but there’s a true element of charm and excitement about this game. The platformer allows people to play as both of the lead characters, with both having to train to become the best scarers possible.

The duo gets sent to Scare Island, where they go around generating energy for the city to use. Players must be careful though, due to the fact that children are dangerous to them, which makes this one more exciting overall.

5 Cars 2 (2011)

This might be one of Pixar’s weakest movies, but it is one of the best video games. Of course, the franchise is one that is perfect for a driving game, and this one was no different, bringing the various characters from the franchise into the racing world.

This game decided to put in some power-ups as well, similar to what Mario Kart has, and that only makes the game more fun, especially from a multiplayer perspective. While it might not be at the same level as the Nintendo juggernaut, it’s still a lot of fun.

4 Toy Story Racer (2001)

Speaking of racing games, the Cars franchise isn’t the only one to have been given the treatment, as a driving game was also created based around the Toy Story characters.

Toy Story Racer might be a slightly unique game, as seeing the characters competing in races isn’t expected, but it is enjoyable to see the different cars that the characters all have, themed to their individual personalities and characteristics. It’s the type of game that doesn’t have to be taken too seriously, but it is simply a lot of fun to play.

3 Finding Nemo: The Video Game (2003)

The Finding Nemo video game is based on the original movie, and it features great gameplay for the time. Dory, Marlin, and Nemo are all playable characters, taking part in different tasks and missions in the ocean.

The game also has plenty of cut scenes that link in with the movie, allowing fans to appreciate elements of the story that they already know, as well as new challenges in order for it to not be repetitive.

2 Up: The Video Game (2009)

This video game goes through the entire movie, giving gamers the chance to play as Carl, Russell, and Dug at various points in the game. With some fun communication and bright colors and graphics, this is a game that is easy to enjoy.

The movie is filled with excitement and the video game is no different in that regard. The fact that this game has multiplayer and aerial gameplay alongside the main story itself only helps make this game a favorite.

1 Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear To The Rescue (1999)

Out of all the Disney Pixar video games made so far, this one still stands out as the strongest. It’s based around a fan-favorite Pixar movie, so getting to play through the movie was something people enjoy.

In this game, the focus is all about Buzz Lightyear. Gamers get to take control of him as he goes on an adventure that ties into the movie but doesn’t just rely on it. There are fantastic platformer elements and some moments that are genuinely challenging, to round it all out.
