Over the series’ course, Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power produced many great episodes, but these 10 are its best, based on IMDb ratings.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power ran for five critically-acclaimed series, with the majority of the fanbase hoping for another stint in the form of a sixth season or even a film. She-Ra is now famous for its organic and positive LGBTQ+ representation, as well as its lovable cast of characters (that is largely comprised of women, but sees representation across all genders as well).

Noelle Stevenson and their crew created a well-rounded and complex reboot to a beloved character, giving fans lighthearted entertainment while simultaneously bringing stories with deeper meanings that can be appreciated by every viewer.

10 Princess Prom (Season 1, Episode 8): 7.3

The season one episode “Princess Prom” is one of many highly-rated episodes on IMDb. It follows the Best Friend Squad as they prepare for Princess Prom, an exclusive ball held once a decade which all princesses are invited to. Hosting the event is Princess Frosta from the Kingdom of Snows, a neutral party in the war against the Horde that Adora and Glimmer hope to sway into joining the Rebellion.

Meanwhile, Catra and Scorpia decide to crash the prom in order to capture Adora (but partially out of spite), however, things don’t go as planned, and the two instead capture Bow and Glimmer, who are dealing with their first conflicts of the series. The episode also builds up the romantic tension between Catra and Adora through a slow-dance, and later during their fight.

9 White Out (Season 2, Episode 5): 7.3

Catra, Scorpia, and Entrapta have set up a temporary post in the Northern Reaches of Etheria to look for a piece of First Ones tech that Catra hopes can be useful in the battle against the Rebellion. Meanwhile, the Best Friend Squad enlists the help of Sea-Hawk (and his boat) to investigate reports of the Horde’s research outpost to find out what they’re after.

Scorpia and Sea-Hawk unexpectedly find some common ground in ‘White Out,’ as they’re both struggling with the subject of their affections. Sea-Hawk feels left out and is uncertain of his relationship with Mermista, and Scorpia struggles to find ways to grow cl`oser with Catra — who is still hung up on Adora.

8 Reunion (Season 2, Episode 7): 7.3

When Bow leaves Bright Moon without explaining, Glimmer becomes concerned and asks Adora to join her in finding him. Glimmer admits she has no idea where Bow would go outside of Bright Moon since he values his privacy and won’t open up about his past to her.

“Reunion” is a great insight into Bow’s character, and introduces fans to his fathers, George and Lance, two historians who live in the Whispering Woods with a fascination of the First Ones. It’s revealed that Bow has kept his adventures in the Rebellion a secret from his parents, in order to not disappoint them as they’ve hoped he’ll one day take over their library.

7 Promise (Season 1, Episode 11): 7.6

Adora enters the First One’s Citadel, unknowingly followed by Catra, in order to learn how to heal as She-Ra to help Glimmer regain her powers after Shadow Weaver sabotaged her connection to them.

Inside the Citadel, Adora and Catra are forced to take a walk down memory lane while fighting for their lives against the fortress’s defenses. The journey gives Catra a new perspective on her life and deepens the chasm between her and Adora. Meanwhile, Light Hope attempts to persuade Adora into letting go of her attachments to Catra to unleash her full potential as She-Ra.

6 Remember (Season 3, Episode 5): 7.6

Hurt and betrayed once more by Shadow Weaver’s manipulation and preference for Adora, Catra ignores Entrapta’s warning against activating the portal, which is powerful enough that Entrapta believes it could wipe out Etheria.

After it’s unleashed, the portal creates an alternate reality where everything is ‘perfect’ — Catra and Adora are together in the Horde, Glimmer’s relationship with Angella is not strained, and her father never disappeared. But Adora can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong, and Scorpia is the only other person who seems to have noticed anything different.

5 The Portal (Season 3, Episode 6): 7.6

It’s a race against the clock as Adora tries to find a way to close the portal once and for all in order to restore reality to normal before all of Etheria is destroyed. But the Princess of Power finds herself tasked with the impossible, and is forced to watch as one by one, her friends are erased from reality.

“The Portal” takes the series to devastating new emotional heights. Adora faces continuous loss in the episode, has an emotionally charged battle with Catra that impacts their relationship for the worst, and finally is spared from sacrificing herself to close the portal when Queen Angella chooses to make the ultimate sacrifice instead.

4 Destiny Part 2 (Season 4, Episode 13): 8.6

Conflicts come to a head as Glimmer ignores the warnings of both Bow and Adora, and enlists Scorpia’s help in activating the Heart of Etheria in order to win against the Horde.

“Destiny Part 2” is the biggest game-changer of the entire series, leading fans into the epic final season. Desperate to stop Light Hope and the Heart, Adore destroys the sword which holds the key to activating the superweapon. Meanwhile, the Heart’s temporary activation captures the attention of Horde Prime, who captures Glimmer, Catra, and Hordak before he begins his invasion of Etheria.

3 Hero (Season 4, Episode 9): 8.8

“Hero” follows Adora as she goes to Madame Razz for more information on a weapon Mara mentioned in one of her messages. The episode is told non-linearly thanks to Razz’s complex relationship with time, switching back and forth between her time with Mara and Adora, as both try to find answers.

The episode sets up a theme that will be very important in the following season, that She-Ra is more than just the sword. Madame Razz teaches Mara this in one of the flashbacks, and it’s something audiences get to see Adora grapple with following the sword’s destruction.

2 Save The Cat (Season 5, Episode 5): 9.7

Adora and the crew return to Horde Prime’s ship to rescue Catra following her self-sacrifice to save Glimmer in a previous episode. It’s a risky move on the heroine’s part, as Adora must bluff her way through the rescue — but for Catra, there’s nothing Adora wouldn’t do.

“Save The Cat” is one of the most hair-raising, painful, and amazing episodes of She-Ra to date. The episode sees the return of the Princess of Power, with an updated look that highlights Adora’s growth as a person.

1 Heart Part 2 (Season 5, Episode 13): 9.8

In top place is the series finale, “Heart Part 2,” which picks up right after the previous episode left off: with every character that fans have come to cherish in the midst of the fight of their lives.

Glimmer fights against her father and has a brief vision of her mother Angella, Bow is able to break through Horde Prime’s signal and release everyone under his control, while Adora and Catra fight to deactivate the Heart of Etheria in time. The series ends on a hopeful note, as the heroes manage to win through love — Adora is finally able to access She-Ra’s full powerset once she and Catra finally confess their feelings for each other and share their first kiss.
