But unlike other Metal Gears, for the first time in the franchise, Metal Gear Solid 5 is both open world and has AI companions who stay at the mother base when not on a mission.

Although the game received universal acclaim, its release was clouded in controversy as it was revealed famed creator Hideo Kojima was let go from Konami due to “corporate restructuring,” and his name was subsequently wiped from Metal Gear Solid 5 promotions.

7 Persona 5 – 93

1 Red Dead Redemption 2 – 97
