Serving as the very first Bachelor, Alex Michel was 31 years old when the first season premiered in March 2002. He ended up choosing Amanda Marsh, although he did not propose. They proceeded to date for one year before splitting.

Following the success of The Bachelor, Michel became a spokesperson for various high-profile companies, including Match.com and Princess Cruises. According to his LinkedIn profile, Michel is currently working as a managing director for Generation Consulting.
