It’s a deeply emotional and heartbreaking movie about how things are continuing to change and we’re quickly losing what we once held so dear.

With help from their gruff motel manager who’s hiding a heart of gold, played by Willem Dafoe, he helps to hide the despair of their surroundings and continues to enrich her fantasy while her mother has to find increasingly dangerous jobs in order to survive. It’s a beautifully crafted film that has a lot of heart and is worth the watch.

The movie is deeply emotional and yet has some great comedic moments with fantastic acting from the ensemble cast.

Gleeson’s character quickly realizes that this isn’t just a fun visit and Isaac’s CEO has a task for him to complete, specifically conducting a Turing Test on his new AI invention, played by Alicia Vikander. Reality begins to blur as Gleeson’s character becomes closer and closer to Vikander’s AI form and secrets about Isaac are revealed. It’s an engaging and stunning sci-fi film with stunning acting from the three, definitely worth a watch.

Focusing solely on a relationship between a mother and son and takes place in one room, hence the title. Her son does not know the situation, that she was kidnapped and had him and they’re still being confined to the single room, and she gives her son the best life she can given the circumstances. As her son grows up, he becomes increasingly curious about their situation and they plan a daring escape. Brie Larson won numerous awards for lead actress in her portrayal of Ma, including an Oscar, and the movie has great reviews.
