ABC’s hit fantasy television series, Once Upon a Time, premiered in 2011, lasting for seven seasons until 2018. The series reimagines classic fairytales and places audiences’ favorite characters in the same story. The series begins with Snow White, also known as school teacher Mary Margaret Blanchard, whose world is flipped upside down when Emma Swan comes to Storeybrooke.

The series goes on to tell stories set in two different worlds, the world of Storeybrooke and the fantastical world where fairytales happen and Storybrooke’s residents’ true identities are revealed. The series is available to binge in its entirety on Netflix, but for fans looking to put on a movie in between episodes, here are a couple of titles you are sure to love just as much.

10 Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (1937)

Since the hit series begins with the classic fairytale character, Snow White, the Disney animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, should be at the top of every fans’ list. This classic ’80s romance film is most likely a favorite for most Once Upon a Time fans already. This film, stars Robin Wright and Cary Elwes, as Princess Buttercup and Westley, respectively. Westley must rescue his one true love, Princess Buttercup from Prince Humperdinck, to whom she is betrothed. Westley enlists the help of friends along the way. The film is based on a book by the same name and has become one of the most loved stories of all time.

1 Aladdin (2019)

This is another Disney live action remake that fans of the fairytale series are sure to love. Released in 2019, the film tells the same story with a new live action cast, including Will Smith as the Genie. Fans will love seeing such nostalgic characters come to life in this new format on the big screen. This live action remake does a great job of maintaining the magic of its original animated version, which is another thing fans of the series will appreciate.
