Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is about a small group that goes to investigate the mysterious Spencer Mansion, discovering secrets and encountering terrifying beings in the process. The action and horror film is set to release in the United States on November 24, 2021, and much of the cast is widely known for a variety of different roles, both in movies and television shows.

These projects helped to propel them to their current status, making them much more recognizable than they had previously been. Much of their previous work is very different from the new Resident Evil film, which shows the actors’ talents and range.

10 Kaya Scodelario – Skins (2007 – 2013)

Before starring as Claire Redfield in the upcoming Welcome to Raccoon City, Kaya Scodelario was a major part of the series Skins, in which she appeared as Effy Stonem. The character is a part of five of the show’s seven seasons, initially being in a supporting role but becoming a major protagonist in later appearances.

Effy is a fan favorite among viewers of the show, partly because of the character’s rebellious nature but also because of the stellar performance given by Scodelario, who excellently displays the complexities of the character’s personality. Scodelario is one of the most successful cast members from Skins, which she has clearly earned.

9 Robbie Amell – The Flash (2014 – )

Robbie Amell gained much more widespread popularity in the role of Ronnie Raymond on The Flash. His character begins the series as an employee of S.T.A.R. Labs and then becomes one-half of the hero Firestorm. The character is in an extensive amount of confusion for a period of time, and this feeling is communicated very well in Amell’s performance.

The character is a major part of some episodes, and Robbie Amell does a fantastic job at showing Ronnie’s personality and the complicated feelings he has about his new abilities. Amell plays the role of Chris Redfield in the new Resident Evil film.

8 Hannah John-Kamen – Ant-Man And The Wasp (2018)

Ant-Man and the Wasp may not be among the best MCU movies, but one of the stronger parts of the film was the character of Ava Starr, also known as Ghost. The character was initially presented as a fascinating villain, but it is when Ghost removes her mask that she truly shines.

Hannah John-Kamen excellently displays her character’s motivations on-screen, illustrating through her actions the turmoil her character is undergoing. She elevates the film in the scenes she is in and gives the character more dimensions than audiences immediately assume she has. She will be playing Jill Valentine in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

7 Neal McDonough – Band Of Brothers (2001)

Before playing the role of William Birkin in Welcome to Raccoon City, Neal McDonough became incredibly recognizable through his portrayal of the real-life figure of 1st Lieutenant Lynn “Buck” Compton in Band of Brothers. Lieutenant Compton was an officer in Easy Company, and McDonough wonderfully portrayed the character.

His performance was subtle and sincere, making the audience feel as if they are watching the actual people involved in the events. Band of Brothers is an extremely popular miniseries, and Neal McDonough helps to give the project an extra feeling of authenticity through his talent.

6 Tom Hopper – Game Of Thrones (2011 – 2019)

Though the Game of Thrones character Dickon Tarly was initially portrayed by Freddie Stroma in season 6, the role was recast with Tom Hopper in season 7. The figure is important in some of the events of season 7, and Hopper is able to carry this responsibility well on-screen.

He balances Tarly’s arrogance and determination convincingly, showing the dedication the character has for what he believes in. He also has great chemistry with other members of the cast, especially those who play his family members, making his role even more believable. Hopper plays Albert Wesker in Welcome to Raccoon City.

5 Donal Logue – Gotham (2014 – 2019)

Before playing the role of Chief Brian Irons in the upcoming Resident Evil movie, Donal Logue took on various roles in other famous pieces of media. One that gained him much attention was Harvey Bullock in Gotham. Bullock is initially incredibly cynical in his behavior and interactions with others, but he changes throughout the course of the series, as evidenced by the character’s first and last line in the show.

Harvey Bullock was popular among fans throughout the show’s run, not in small part due to Donal Logue’s portrayal. His performance is comedic but genuine, which helped to make Bullock’s change in demeanor convincing.

4 Avan Jogia – Victorious (2010 – 2013)

Avan Jogia has been in plenty of films and television shows since his Victorious days, but he reached new heights of popularity through his role as Beck Oliver. He is one of the main characters in the show and often serves as a voice of reason among his crowd of zany friends. Jogia received a lot of attention for his part in the show, and rightfully so.

He plays the character well, and despite Beck’s calm, reasonable attitude, he still has plenty of comedic moments in the series. Avan Jogia portrays Leon S. Kennedy in Welcome to Raccoon City.

3 Lily Gao – The Expanse (2015 – )

Lily Gao plays the character Ada Wong in the upcoming Resident Evil film. Before this, she appeared in a number of roles in movies and television shows, but her most recognizable appearance is probably as Nancy Gao in The Expanse. The character is a politician who is determined to have her vision realized.

Lily Gao displays the character’s aspirational attitude fantastically while also showing her care for those she seeks to help. She is entirely believable in the role, and she will be a great addition to the cast of Welcome to Raccoon City.

2 Marina Mazepa – America’s Got Talent (2006 – )

Though appearing in the new Resident Evil film as Lisa Trevor, Marina Mazepa has an extensive background as a dancer. She competed on America’s Got Talent as a contortionist dancer, and she is part of the reason that season 14 is considered one of the best seasons of America’s Got Talent.

Exceptional in her movements in the competition, it is no wonder why Mazepa has been making more appearances in film and television, often as a physical performer. She continues to impress in her roles, and she will add a fascinating element to the upcoming movie.

1 Nathan Dales – Letterkenny (2016 – )

Playing the role of Brad Vickers in Welcome to Raccoon City is Nathan Dale, who is most widely known as Daryl in Letterkenny. While there are plenty of aspects about the show that fans enjoy, there is something special about Daryl, who offers an almost innocent but incredibly funny presence to the series.

This lovable nature can partly be credited to the writing, but Dale deserves a lot of the praise as well. His exceptional delivery and physical expressions bring the character to life, and it is interesting to see the actor branching out into the horror and action genres.
