10 Real Housewives Who Should Leave The Franchise

Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise may have people who are “friends” and one new cast member might join each season, but viewers generally see the same housewives on a regular basis. It’s easy to get invested in their lives, wonder who they’re going to fight with every season, and want to learn more about them.
But while some housewives are always going to be fan favorites, others seem like they should say goodbye to the reality franchise. In some cases, these cast members have done a great job and shared a lot with fans and it seems like they could open themselves up to new opportunities. In other cases, viewers think someone’s story arc has been too intense and dramatic, or it just feels like the right time for them to leave.
10 Ramona Singer (RHONY)
The cast of The Real Housewives of New York City has changed in recent years, with Bethenny Frankel, Tinsley Mortimer, and Dorinda Medley saying goodbye to the reality series. OG cast member Ramona Singer is still part of the cast, but in recent seasons, her behavior has become increasingly problematic and viewers think it’s time for her to go.
While Ramona is known for her unique RHONY quotes, she has taken things too far in the past two seasons during discussions with her co-stars about race and politics, and she has said some terrible and offensive things.

Since RHOP has been on the air for 6 seasons, it could make sense to shake up the cast, and a new cast member could change the dynamic and lead to some interesting drama that fans are always looking for.
7 Erika Jayne (RHOBH)
When comparing the current cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it’s clear that Erika Jayne had a rough season 11. While fans questioned whether Erika would come back to the reality show given the news of her divorce and legal issues, it also seems like now would be a natural time for her to leave.
Erika’s arc has been compelling and RHOBH fans have seen Erika be vulnerable, especially during the four-part season 11 reunion. Now that Erika’s whole life has changed, it would make sense for her to say goodbye to the series and focus on her personal life. It could be a positive thing for Erika to make a brand new start.

RHONY fans have seen Luann at her best and at her worst. She has married the wrong person and then regretted it, gotten arrested and gotten sober, and also shown that she truly loves Cabaret.
Since Luann has been on the series for so many years, it seems like it could be a natural time to quit. This would give Luann more time to explore her passion for Cabaret, travel, and do whatever she wants to do. While it seems like she does enjoy filming the series since she’s been on it for so long, it would also likely be great to try something new.
5 Kandi Burruss (RHOA)
The Real Housewives of Atlanta would definitely feel the absence of Kandi Burruss, but since she’s been a cast member since season 2, it would make sense to leave and focus on other creative projects.
Kandi is an incredibly talented actress and has also appeared on many other reality shows, so leaving would mark a new, exciting, positive change and the opportunity to take on more work since she wouldn’t spend so much time filming the show.
4 Lisa Rinna (RHOBH)
Lisa Rinna’s time on RHOBH has been both positive and difficult. On the one hand, she has brought a lightness to the series, joking around with her husband Harry Hamlin and introducing fans to her sweet daughters and late mom, Lois. But Lisa has also been involved in some mean fights and Lisa’s surprising RHOBH choices have involved asking questions of a vulnerable Yolanda Hadid and behaving poorly in some cases.
While viewers don’t support Lisa all the time, she has had a great run on the show and she should be proud of the entertaining and fun vacations and episodes that she has been a part of.
3 Sonja Morgan (RHONY)
While it’s tough to imagine RHONY without Sonja, with her funny quotes and true passion for life, it also makes sense for Sonja to quit and for a new cast member to come on.
Sonja has done it all on the show, from joking with Ramona on vacations to partying hard to sharing what it was like to sell her home. She has talked about her divorce over the years, shown glimpses of her dating life, and talked about business projects like her potential toaster oven. It seems like it could be time for Sonja to depart.
2 Garcelle Beauvais (RHOBH)
RHOBH viewers have gotten to know Garcelle Beauvais over several seasons. When learning about Garcelle’s background, fans know that she’s a successful actress, which is one reason why she could leave the reality show.
During her first season of RHOBH, Garcelle didn’t film as much as the others because her schedule was so packed, and in season 11, she was also hosting a talk show and super busy with other projects.
1 Dolores Catania (RHONJ)
Dolores Catania has had an awesome run on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She has shared her friendship with her ex-husband Frank, her complicated relationship with David, the love she has for her kids, and her strong opinions.
Dolores was in the spotlight in season 11 as her co-stars wanted to know why she and David weren’t committing, and she got the chance to share that she wasn’t certain that he was the person for her. Dolores has shown her family life and also fought a lot with co-star Jackie Goldschneider and it might be a natural time to say goodbye.
