3 Smart Steering

Players often get the choice to either use manual or automatic steering and gear changes in the game. The latest version of the title though has something known as smart steering. This keeps the players on the track, and, for the most part, acts as a guiding hand.

Of course, this can be quite a controlling aspect of the game, but it can be turned off in the settings. If the player wants to put their abilities to the test and even play around with tricks like skidding round corners, then it’s best to take the kart off of smart steering.

2 Using Slipstreams

Slipstreams are a huge part of any racing game, and Mario Kart is no different. With all the chaos taking place on the track, it can sometimes be easy to completely ignore this trick, and some players might not even though about this secret boost.

By staying really close to the competition and racing directly behind them for a few seconds, the kart can actually pick up more speed since it isn’t being held back by the laws of physics. It’s a trick that can work on any track as long as there’s someone to hide behind!
