Love Is Blind recently dropped on Netflix and has created a cult following. Viewers cannot get enough of the unique concept and the aftermath of the show. With the theory of love being blind, we see a group of singles trying to find love without ever seeing each other. Once a couple realizes they love each other, they can see each other after they get engaged. From there on out, they begin to plan their wedding and take on the world as a new couple.

Due to the show’s success, it’s predicted that there will be a second season streaming on Netflix in the future, but nothing has been agreed upon yet. Before the Love Is Blind reunion drops on March 5th, let’s take a look at everything we know about the second season of Love Is Blind.

10 First Of All, Netflix Hasn’t Ordered A Season Two (Yet)

Before everyone gets excited, Netflix hasn’t given Love Is Blind the green light on a second season… yet. However, with the encouragement from the show’s creator, Chris Coelen, it appears it’s inevitable.

Coelen is down for a second season of the dating show, but Netflix still needs time to assess the situation and make sure the viewership is there.

9 But The Creator Is Looking At The Show Lasting Long Past Two Seasons

In case fans are afraid a second season won’t happen, the creator Chris Coelen is already planning on it (while they wait for Netflix). During an interview with Oprah Magazine, he said he was “100%” ready for a second season and is even confident in a season 12 and 20!

Seeing 20 seasons of this genius idea for reality television would be heaven-sent for drama junkies. It’ll also be interesting to see where the couples end up after each season. Who will stick it out, and who will end it all? Time will tell.

8 Love Is Blind Could Be Heading To The UK

Love Is Blind is set in Atlanta, Georgia, but that doesn’t mean the show has to stay in America. There have been rumors that the show could be crossing the pond and have its own UK version (presumably with different hosts).

According to Metro, Coelen said, “Absolutely! 100% yes. Let’s make it happen; I’d love it” when talking about the possibility of the show going international. It’s hard to say which TV programs or streaming services will pick up the UK version of the show, but fans can’t get enough of it, so the more versions, the better.

7 The Show May Look For Singles Outside Of One Specific City

As we know, Love Is Blind was based in Atlanta, but season two could be different. Producers are open to entertaining different cities, depending on the season.

For season two, Atlanta could very well still be the show’s main hub, but producers are also interested in Boston, Chicago, and New York, too!

6 But There’s A Reason Why They Looked For Couples In One Area

So, why was Love Is Blind set in one city instead of sprawled out across America like dating shows similar to The Bachelor universe? Season one of Love Is Blind saw singles hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, and there was a reason for this. The creator and producers of the show wanted these potential couples to have a fighting chance at love once the show ended.

While having couples doing long-distance relationships and having family in different states could add some messy drama to the mix, those working on Love Is Blind wanted simplicity. As Coelen said, “It’s too difficult if you’re from Tampa and they’re from Portland, that just throws another wrench in. We wanted to give them a real shot at making their love and their marriage work.”

5 Singles Will Be Able To Apply To Be On The Show

It’s been said that some of the people cast on the first season of Love Is Blind were found through Instagram. Thanks to their hashtags and geo-tags, casting directors sent them personal messages and asked if they were willing to be on a dating show. After they were selected, they were part of the original cast. However, for season two, it appears they’ll allow singles to apply online.

When the second season is given the green light by Netflix, Kinetic Casting is most likely going to add a submission form on their social media pages, encouraging people to apply. So if you’re single and looking, follow their page for more information as it comes in!

4 The Pods Will Return

Ah, those pods! Just in case you can’t get enough of that pod life, it looks like they’ll be coming back for future seasons. Chris Coelen told Oprah Magazine that not only will the pods come back (they were pretty instrumental for the first season), but they’re still set up in storage!

Does this mean the second season will be in Atlanta once again since that’s where the pods are waiting?

3 It May Be A While Until We Get A Second Season

Considering the show just released in February of this year, it’s shocking that filming took place back in 2018! This means that all this relationship drama is a thing of the past for the couples (and former couples) on the show.

In fact, the two couples that got married on the show have now been married for about a year and a half to two years! With the amount of footage producers had, it took time to narrow it down and create a show that was only ten episodes. Knowing this, it could mean that it’ll be a while until we see the effects of season two.

2 We’re Hoping To Learn More At The Season One Reunion

In case anyone is curious about the lives of those on season one, buckle up because a series reunion is on its way! The reunion will be shown on Netflix and on YouTube on March 5th.

We’ll catch up with the married couples, see the relationship statuses of those who broke up, and learn more about how the filming went. This could also be a prime time to release teasers for the second season and what’s to come.

As hosts of the show, married couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey were the celebrity faces behind the first season. And considering they weren’t too instrumental in the show’s fate, there’s no reason why these two wouldn’t be back for a second season.
