Since giving birth to her son Gage in 1000-lb Sisters season 2, Amy Slaton has generously shared the biggest milestones in the baby boy’s young life with her passionate fanbase. Just as Amy shares everything about her personal life on the Slaton sisters’ reality show, the entertainer has kept her followers up to date on every exciting moment in Gage’s first trip around the sun. From holidays to new teeth, these are all of the most exciting events in Gage’s life that Amy captured in pictures.

Amy’s trek toward motherhood was much more arduous than most parents expect to endure. Initially, Amy and her husband Michael Halterman were unable to have a child because the television personality’s weight made the prospect of childbirth too dangerous. This meant that if Amy and Michael wanted to see their aspirations of having their own kid through, Amy would have to undergo bariatric surgery first.

Although she hit some bumps in the road, Amy was ultimately successful in her goal of losing enough weight to qualify for the gastric bypass operation which ended up completely changing her life. Not only was Amy able to live a life free of the major health complications that came with her weight, the reality star and her husband were finally able to build the family they always dreamed of. While Amy’s physician Dr. Procter had his concerns, the 1000-lb Sisters star gave birth to a healthy baby boy on November 10, 2020.

Even though Gage was born at the beginning of November 2020, the reality TV prince took his time before making his social media introduction. For a while, Amy opted to keep the baby boy off of her Instagram, but after the Slaton sister gave birth in 1000-lb Sisters season 2, Amy finally felt like it was time to show off her son. The day after the episode archiving Gage’s birth aired, Amy shared her first picture of Gage captioned, “Gage deon halterman.” Gage’s premiere post featured the young reality star in a variety of poses and positions from his first four months including lying on Amy’s bed, playing with a toy, drinking from his bottle, and sporting some fashionable onesies. In addition to this debut post, Amy shared a handful of other pictures on March 2 to commemorate the first time viewers got a glimpse of baby Gage.

Unsurprisingly, Amy’s first slew of photos featuring her burgeoning boy was met with criticism from mom-shamers. Amy’s judgmental followers noted that Amy posed her baby in unsanitary areas of her home like her stained bed. Fortunately, Amy was able to respond to her naysayers with a monumental set of pictures less than a week later. On March 8, Amy shared several photos from “Gage’s 1st Photoshoot 2020.” This photoshoot holds some of the cutest stills of Amy’s baby as Gage is no more than a month and a half old in the classy spread of photos. From Gage donning a puppy cap to the baby boy smiling widely in his mother’s arms, Gage’s first photoshoot marks the first occasion Amy’s followers were able to get a sense of her son’s silly personality. First holidays are even more cherished when the child is born with a fanbase of ardent 1000-lb Sisters supporters. Unfortunately, Amy’s followers missed out on pictures from Gage’s first Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities as the TV personality opted to keep her son out of the public eye for his first few months. Luckily, Amy made up for the lack of winter holiday content with posts that recorded Gage’s debut Easter experience. Amy shared a collection of photos featuring Gage holding a toy bunny accompanied with the caption, “Gage’s 1st Easter 2021. On April 12, however, Amy shared a couple of pictures of Gage making progress to moving on his own. Amy posted a duo of pictures captioned, “Gage learned how to army crawl. So cute.” The pair of photos show Amy’s son discovering new methods of mobility as Gage’s arms pull him across his blanket. Not only is this an exciting update in Gage’s growing up process, but it also demonstrated that Amy’s baby is hitting the standard baby milestones as he’s experimenting with crawling at only five months old.

One of the most climactic “firsts” for new parents is getting to celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day with their newborn bundles of joy. Although Amy didn’t share a picture of her and Gage commemorating Mother’s Day in May, the 1000-lb Sisters star made up for it with a couple of adorable photos conveying what Father’s Day was like in the Slaton-Halterman household. On June 20, Amy posted four pictures of Gage and Michael together, wearing festive outfits to mark the father-son holiday. This past Summer, Gage hit a major milestone as his first fang emerged from his previously unblemished gums. On July 1, Amy shared a picture of a grinning Gage captioned, “Gage has his 1st tooth peeking out.” Without Amy’s message, it would be difficult for the reality star’s followers to discern the change in Gage’s appearance. Upon detailed investigation, however, it’s evident that Gage has one tooth sticking out behind his lip. The arrival of baby teeth is a major milestone in a child’s evolution and 1000-lb Sisters fans were grateful Amy shared the event on Instagram.
