10 Cry: Marley And Me
Because people born under the Virgo sign are such animal lovers, they are usually drawn to films that have a dog or a pet of some sort as one of the main characters.
The movie Marley and Me, starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson as a couple who adopt the “worst dog ever”, will be one that makes any Virgo laugh just as hard as it will make them cry. It will also make them appreciate the furry companions they have in their real lives.
9 Not: A Star Is Born
The Virgo sign likes to work and they feel good after a long day of hard work, doing whatever it is that they do best.
This sign will be able to appreciate how hard Lady Gaga’s and Bradley Cooper’s characters work in this musical feature film, but they will struggle to sympathize with the way Cooper’s character, Jackson Maine, sabotages, not only himself, but the woman he loves too. The ending is sad, regardless of your sign, it may just be harder for Virgos to sympathize with.
8 Cry: A Walk To Remember
This is a classic Nicholas Sparks’ film that will make any Virgo cry and will also bring up memories of their own first love.
The loyalty two young lovebirds feel toward one another and their growing relationship is one that any Virgo can appreciate, which is why they will be drawn to Landon and Jamie’s story in A Walk to Remember. They will also be devastated by how this young love story comes to such a sad, tear-jerking end.
7 Not: Armageddon
Most Virgos will find this dramatic disaster movie more suspenseful than sad. There are few unhappy moments, especially at the end of the film, but the main storyline is much more focused on building the suspense and leaving audiences on the edge of their seats wondering if Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck will be able to save the world from a large asteroid headed its way.
Virgos will be too invested in the action to feel anything else if they watch this movie.
6 Cry: Shakespeare In Love
Virgos love to read. If a Virgo isn’t working or watching a movie, chances are, they are cozied up somewhere with a good book or play, maybe even something written by William Shakespeare.
For the Virgo who loves classic love stories and historical dramas, as well as a good cry, the late ’90s Academy Award winning feature film, Shakespeare in Love, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes, is something they should definitely have on their queue.

When Ghost, starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze was released in the early ’90s, it was known to be one of the saddest movies ever made.
Some star signs may still find this movie incredibly sad to watch, but it most likely won’t appeal to most people born under the Virgo sign because the story isn’t very original and is actually somewhat scary in parts. Virgos may spend more time worrying as they watch this film and not as much time crying.
4 Cry: Up
Anyone born under the Virgo sign will be able to appreciate and root for Carl in Pixar’s hit animated feature, Up. In this film, Carl falls in love with Ellie at a very young age and the two spend their lives together, planning adventures.
Ellie dies and Carl is left alone, regretting never going on those adventures with his wife before she died. Carl decides there’s no time like the present and straps thousands of balloons to his and Ellie’s house to take him to the adventure he’s always wanted to have.
3 Not: Beaches
This story of two young friends growing up and navigating life together is one that a lot of people find not only sad, but relatable. The Virgo sign will struggle to see the appeal because the film itself is pretty outdated and the story has been retold a few times at this point.
They also may not care for Better Midler’s character, C.C. in the film because she’s constantly seeking attention and center stage, which is something that makes most Virgos pretty uncomfortable.
2 Cry: Titanic
People born under the Virgo sign will love not only the love story in this film, but the historical backstory of the Titanic and its tragic end.
Virgos like stories based on truth and facts, so a historical drama mixed with a fictional love story, is a perfect fit for them. Considering that both the history and the love story end tragically, this record-breaking film will definitely have every Virgo reaching for a tissue by the end of it.
1 Not: Toy Story
Like most signs, the Virgo sign will love Pixar’s Toy Story. This first film in the franchise is funny and clever and has all of the elements to entertain a Virgo and their family on movie night.
It’s unlikely this movie will make a Virgo cry though. A movie like this is known more for causing “happy tears” when the characters reach a happy resolution at the end. Virgos aren’t prone to happy tears, so though they’ll enjoy the film, their eyes will definitely be dry.
