Newly-married Natalie Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist are finally wearing matching rings on 90 Day Fiancé, and a Reddit user has revealed a secret about the material it’s made of. With Natalie and Mike coming back to TLC via 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, six months after their wedding the couple seems to be doing better than before. But the first episode itself has Natalie pointing out that Mike doesn’t wear a ring, as the Sequim resident claimed it’s his construction job that stops him. But metaphysical shop Stargazers is where Natalie ended up getting Mike a $3 hematite ring just like hers, which 90 Day Fiancé viewers think has a deeper meaning.

With Natalie being more obsessed with rings on 90 Day Fiancé than Gollum, every mentions seems like a clue to her future with Mike. The saga first started with Natalie tossing away Mike’s ring when he was in Kyiv, Ukraine, and continued as she begged for him to give it back, until he did, in season 8. The ring topic was also brought up when Mike asked for it back after dumping Natalie two hours before their wedding. But with the marriage happening in the finale, fans thought they’d seen the last of Natalie’s ring obsession, until 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? shows her upset over Mike not wearing a wedding ring.

“I honestly can’t afford to buy you a good ring because I don’t have work,” said Natalie on 90 Day Fiancé, as she then took Mike to the metaphysical store she’d found on the Internet. The TLC couple, who surprisingly both believe in “energies,” explored the Bellevue, WA, shop to buy Egyptian Musk and Night Queen that would help them explore their sexuality. As the storekeeper, Bijan, commented that she saw “a lot of love between them,” Natalie told her that she wanted a ring just like hers for Mike. “Hematite is a stone that’s gonna be really great for balance,” Bijan told the 90 Day Fiancé pair, while adding that it’s also a “protective stone.” And on watching Mike and Natalie try on the rings, Reddit user skynicks also had an interesting theory to share.

The TLC viewer mentioned how the Hematite rings that Mike and Natalie got on 90 Day Fiancé “are said to absorb negativity then redirect and expel it.” The fan also shared how Hematite is “grounding and balancing” which Mike and Natalie “certainly need.” The fan found it funny that “Natalie was attracted to the Hematite rings” since they think it’s a stone she needs. They revealed how hematite rings “are fragile and they break pretty quickly,” especially after the ring has absorbed “too much negativity.” The fan laughed that they now want to see how long 90 Day Fiancé couple Mike and Natalie’s rings last.

Another viewer in the comments shared how the ring might be “a non-smart choice,” especially for something that’s supposed to last a lifetime. “But maybe they both knew their marriage wasn’t going to,” they added, alluding to the rumors of Mike and Natalie having separated even before their first anniversary on April 15, 2021. It was in March that 90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite Uncle Beau Lawrence claimed that Natalie was now living in Seattle away from Mike. And Instagram does show Natalie sporting a ringless hand, sparking rumors of having met a new man. Maybe their Hematite rings breaking signified the end of this 90 Day Fiancé relationship.
