90 Day Fiancé Season 5 Was the Best Season

Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé was the best season of the show. What made it so good was the collection of iconic couples that viewers have grown to love. Not only that, but the drama that season was too exciting to be ignored.

Season 4 couple Nicole and Azan returned to season 5, still steeped in their relationship issues. The Florida mom of one and her Moroccan man were still no closer to walking down the aisle than they were on the previous season. However, fans did get acquainted with Nicole’s adorable daughter, May, when the two journeyed to Morocco. During the trip, Azan became concerned with Nicole’s parenting skills. Their issues with money were also dealt with and painted a concerning picture for the pair. Yet there was no bigger shock for the two than questions about Azan’s devotion to their union.

For 41-year-old Molly and 26-year-old Luis, it seemed like their relationship was built to last. The Georgia boutique owner met her Dominican fiancé while on vacation. Luis moved to Georgia to be with Molly, but was soon met with an icy reception from her father and daughters. He concerned his new wife by telling her that we wasn’t interested in being a father figure to her children. Luis went on to tell Molly, “If the relation with Kensley and me Olivia and me no get better, I don’t care.” One of the final blows to the relationship was when Luis took issue with Molly’s home decor, calling into question her use of Buddhas and other spiritual tchotchkes. Six months into their troubled union, Molly filed for divorce. Five months after the divorce was granted, Luis was married to someone else and living in New Jersey.

Before she took America by storm on American Idol, 19-year-old Evelyn Cormier was a bride-to-be navigating the tough K-1 visa process with her Spanish fiancé, David. Both Evelyn and David come from conservative and religious backgrounds, so discussions of sex were often awkward for the two. Also posing a concern for the young couple was where to live after being married. David’s academic background is in politics and public policy, so he imagined the couple would live in or near a city like Washington D.C., whereas Evelyn was in love with her New Hampshire roots and couldn’t imagine herself living that far from her family and friends. In the end, the couple married and David eventually supported Evelyn’s musical career – especially during her stint on American Idol.

In this lively season, viewers met some of the more dynamic characters who truly embody the spirit of 90 Day Fiancé. Who could forget David and Annie, who fell in love during his trip to Thailand? The couple traversed their money woes together, as well as David’s family not accepting the union right away. However, he and Annie have become fan favorites and are even regulars on 90 Day Fiancé Pillow Talk. Josh and Aika showed viewers the importance of discussing family planning before marriage. The couple met on a dating app, and soon Aika was on a flight from the Philippines to meet her fiancé. At age 36, she was eager to have a baby, but Josh…not so much. Although they’re still together, as of yet, there are no children produced from the union. However, another popular couple, Elizabeth and Andrei, married and had a daughter named Eleanor in 2018. At first, Andrei’s controlling personality seemed like a deal-breaker with fans, but he has since softened with fatherhood. He and Elizabeth are also beloved regulars and humorous contributors on Pillow Talk.
