90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Steven Johnston had fans wondering if he is rich after he discussed signing a prenuptial agreement with Alina before getting married. Mormon man Steven appeared to have cold feet throughout the season, just like his co-star Sumit Singh. On the other hand, Alina was interested in marrying Steven despite his obvious infidelity. When the couple finally got engaged in Turkey, 90 Day Fiancé viewers expressed disappointment in Alina. But upon hearing Steven talk about a prenup right after they signed their registration process, fans were even more suspicious of the Utah native as they questioned his net worth.

As all the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 couples race to the altar, Steven and Alina are also getting married. But time and again, Steven has displayed his unfaithfulness and hypocrisy, which Alina has also called him out for. However, Alina also wants to marry Steven before their Turkey tourist visas expire since she feels once he’s back in America, he’ll again resort to cheating. After all, while Steven expected Alina to stay a virgin until marriage, he kissed 100 women in his past and asked her permission to date others as well. Still, Alina refused to see Steven as the villain that 90 Day Fiancé fans think he is.

And according to a bonus clip of Steven and Alina, as shared by 90 Day Fiancé on Instagram, it appears that he doesn’t trust her intentions fully. The couple heads out of the marriage registrar’s office after getting the required permissions, and a super ecstatic Alina exclaims how happy she is. Meanwhile, Steven admits that he’s freaked out as the marriage is now very official and will have “official consequences.” However, he doesn’t hesitate while talking about the prenup with Alina. He asks Alina if she knows about a prenuptial agreement as he explains that it’s a “very good idea” that would start off their “relationship right” before they marry. Steven claims that since everything is “happening very fast,” a prenup would be a great “safety net in case things don’t work out.” Alina asks Steven why he’s already thinking about divorce, and in the comments, 90 Day Fiancé fans wrote things like, “Wait up. Boy please is he rich????” “Does he want to protect his $20 in the bank and skateboard?” and “Looks like he’s loaded.”

In the video, Steven, who keeps putting Alina at risk, explains that he’s been thinking of a prenup for a long time. “Alina knows how much money we have, how much I have.” He tells the cameras, “A lot of money that I’ve earned, I’ve earned it on my own while she wasn’t in the picture necessarily.” When Alina wants to know what Steven wishes to see in the paper, he explains that whatever “assets” that he owns before marriage would remain his in case of a divorce. Alina argues that this shows Steven isn’t ready and that she won’t be signing anything. Steven not trusting her despite her having sacrificed so much for him strikes Alina as “disrespectful.”

During the start of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3, Steven quit his pest control salesman job before heading to Turkey. He also called himself the jack of all trades and confessed that he’s still trying to figure out his career. And he continues staying in his parents’ basement. This is why fans are curious about how exactly Steven has amassed his “assets” and what they are.
