It’s hard to believe that a relationship that blossoms on television is real and for the sake of love, but yet, viewers keep binging seasons of TLCS’s 90 Day Fiancé. For those who don’t know, this show follows the lives of international couples who travel far and wide to be together. Call these people hopeless romantics or jaded, but this show has a cult following and it keeps getting better. From the everyday relationship drama to keyed cars, the couples that stay together are a miracle, while the others were destined for destruction.

While there are a lot of ups and downs, there are couples that make it off-screen and live happily ever after, and then there are “couples” who make such a negative impression to viewers, that their legacy is forever marked on the show or its spin-offs. Sometimes unique situations like this make a couple stronger and better, while others realize that they’re not ready to be engaged to one another.

10 Likable: Amy And Danny Conquer A Disapproving Father-In-Law (Season 2)

It’s a gamble when anyone goes on television to play with their emotions, but Danny and Amy handled their situation well. If a couple stays married and functional on this show, they’re considered a favorite, but these two were a surprise. Danny and Amy based their relationship on everything it should be: trust, love, and respect for one another. It’s more of a miracle these two decided to jump on this journey and meet each other.

Amy moved from South Africa to Pennsylvania to be with Danny in Season 2. They didn’t fight about much, but they faced racial backlash from Danny’s father. He didn’t approve of their interracial marriage, but that didn’t stop them. Today, Amy is continuing to work on her relationship with her father-in-law and being the bigger person.

9 Can’t Stand: Mohamed And Danielle’s Relationship Was A Bad Match From The Start

Looks aren’t everything, but when one person isn’t attracted to the other, there’s bound to be problems. In Season 2, Mohamed and Danielle didn’t hit it off right from the beginning. She liked to show him affection and he didn’t like to show…anything. Mohamed admitted to being repulsed by Danielle and sadly, Danielle wasn’t getting the signs. Eventually, Mohamed left and Danielle was still not understanding.

On top of that, Danielle felt like Mohamed was using her and she wasn’t happy with this dating past. In the end, Danielle had the power to grant him an annulment or a divorce, and the latter would result in Mohamed being deported back to Tunisia. She gave him some slack and ended up divorcing him.

8 Likable: Loren And Alexei Overcame Typical Relationships Obstacles, But Stuck it Out (Season 3)

Sometimes, love is really in the air and it hit Loren and Alexei right in the forehead. Viewers got to see this love story unfold on the reality show, right from their meeting during a Birthright trip. Alexei ended up coming to the United States to live with Loren and her parents in Florida.

There were the understanding obstacles such as drama with wedding photos and Loren’s insecurities with her Tourettes Syndrome, but they overcame, are still together, and announced their first pregnancy together in October 2019.

7 Can’t Stand: Darcey And Jesse Had Erratic Meltdowns And Possible Substance Abuse Issues

Sometimes, an age gap between two people doesn’t matter, but it also can cause a lot of problems. In Season 1, Darcey and Dutch boyfriend Jesse looked like a cute couple, but looks can be deceiving. This couple ended up being one of the most volatile couples on the show and that’s saying a lot. Being there was a 20-year age gap, Jesse came off as immature and moody. Darcey seemed level-headed and nice, but her emotions didn’t attract Jesse.

Instead of working together, they ended up pushing each other apart with their explosive fights and an alleged drinking problem on Darcey’s end. In the end, the only one who could see it was Darcey’s son, that called them out on their immaturity.

6 Likable: David And Annie Might’ve Not Clicked At First, David Proved Himself And His Love

At first, this seemed like a couple doomed from the start in Season 5, but they ended up being a franchise favorite. The couple had financial troubles at first, as well as a hefty age gap, but there was hope. Fans will remember David’s troubles with drinking and infidelity in his last marriage, but the Thailand native ended up being David’s perfect match.

In spin-off shows, they’ve come back to express their left-behind financial woes and how far they’ve come as a couple. David was literally at rock bottom financially and physically, but he found his way back with the help of Annie.

There might’ve been a slice of a chance, but it was revealed that these two were in completely different stages of life. Since Nikki was only 19 years old, she expressed her desire to have children someday, where Mark did not.

Another issue was that Mark’s daughter from another relationship was older than Nikki and that would’ve been odd to call a teenager “Mom” at some point. Even though it was a weird episode to watch, the couple is somehow still together.

4 Likable: Kyle And Noon Had Instant Chemistry And Remain Low-Key After The Show

After Season 2, there was enough drama for a lifetime, so when Season 3 debuted, Kyle and Noon were a breath of fresh air. It started out as Kyle looking for festivals in Thailand to attend and it ended with him connecting with Noon on Facebook.

From their very first meeting at the airport to Noon being there for Kyle through parental troubles, it seemed like a normal relationship. In fact, they’re still together today and moved to New Orleans, LA, before settling down in Portland, OR.

3 Can’t Stand: Kalani And Asuelu Had Different Views When It Came To Intimacy And Public Outbursts

This one is a toss-up because these two ended up working their problems out, but it wasn’t an easy road. From the beginning, Asuelu made it apparent that certain protective measures were only for scandalous women when being intimate, which is kind of a head-scratcher.

That’s only the tip of it, as Asuelu embarrassed the Californian at the airport with a traditional dance and hurting himself while barking at the sight of another couple. It’s not known if Asuelu had a mental breakdown or if that’s how he tells a woman he loves her; either way, they’re still together today.

2 Likable: Jihoon And Deavan Showed True Love And Moved Back To South Korea To Be Closer To Family

Deavan was a single mom from Utah that was raising a daughter. Jihoon and Deavan decided to meet up in Las Vegas and begin their romance. Before Jihoon went back home, they found out they were going to have a child together.

This was a milestone as Deavan had a miscarriage previously, but Jihoon was there for her and expressed his love. Today, they’re living in South Korea and will soon bring Deavan’s mother there as well so they can be closer together.

1 Can’t Stand: Nicole And Azan Had Different Outlooks When It Came To Their Cultures

If two people meet and understand their values are different from one another, they’d try to find a balance, right? Wrong. In seasons 4 & 5, Nicole and Azan proved that point. Being that Nicole was from Florida and Azan was from Morocco, there were some differences. Azan is Muslim and through that religion, it is known that they don’t show affection in public, but Nicole didn’t care.

What’s even worse is that Azan practically came out and said that he wasn’t attracted to Nicole; but somehow, they ended up overcoming those difficulties and are still together with a child today.
