Everyone loves Ahsoka Tano: whether it’s from The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels, or her appearance on The Mandalorian. Ahsoka Tano has become an icon of the franchise along with the likes of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. That’s why fans erupted with joy when it was announced that Ahsoka would get her own spin-off.

After stealing the show on The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson is set to own the role for years to come on Disney+. When it comes to Star Wars: Ahsoka, there are many possible stories to tell considering the legacy of the character. However, there are some things fans hope the series avoids.

10 Yes: Defeating The Sixth Brother

The white lightsabers are awesome and are a new signature look for the character. One problem arises from them though: not every fan reads the books. For the pilot episode, it might be wise to adapt events from the Ahsoka novel.

Show her epic battle with the Sith Inquisitor known as the Sixth Brother. Then finally give an on-screen display of Ahsoka purifying the Kyber Crystals to their neutral white/silver state.

9 No: More Time Travel

The final season of Star Wars: Rebels introduced the idea of time travel to the universe. With the World Between Worlds, Ezra was able to pull Ahsoka out of time to save her from Darth Vader. Fans are grateful for this as now Ahsoka can continue to be amazing.

However, time travel is like cotton candy: too much and someone is going to be sick. Star Wars has many wild and crazy things going about it, but it doesn’t need confusing alternate timelines.

8 Yes: Crossover With The Mandalorian

If there is anything genuinely impressive to come out of the CW’s Arrowverse, it’s how they could create stories branching across different shows. The recent Crisis On Infinite Earths featured six shows crossing over into five episodes.

Ahsoka Tano has had history on Mandalore and with B0-Katan; so it’s not exactly hard to believe that she will be involved with Din Djarin and Bo-Katan’s story in Season 3.

7 No: Nerfing Ahsoka

While Ahsoka was beloved in her first live-action appearance, her combat skills were definitely toned down from before. In both The Clone Wars and Rebels, Ahsoka proved to be one of the most agile and deadly fighters.

In The Mandalorian, the combat was great but Ahsoka moved a lot slower. This was likely because of the budget required to make each episode. Hopefully, her spin-off showcases that not only is she fast but she is very powerful: she defeated Darth Maul and almost won against Darth Vader.

6 Yes: More Fantastical Worlds

Star Wars is known for its imaginative and eye-popping worlds. The Mandalorian on the other hand has become very reliant on barren planets and wastelands. Planets like Mon Calamari proved to be a nice changeup for the series. These kinds of planets work for the whole Western vibe that the show goes for.

Ahsoka’s spin-off could take her to all kinds of new and familiar places. Planets like Felucia, Kashyyyk, and Naboo would be nice to see again. Show more civilizations, more people, and beautiful locations that a kind heart like Ahsoka would be willing to protect.

5 No: Too Many Clone Wars/Rebels Characters

This is Ahsoka’s solo series and she’s now an adult, and the show should keep it that way. While a reference or cameo to the animated shows here and there will be expected, don’t turn Ahsoka into Rebels 2.0. The show should be a personal journey about Ahsoka Tano that allows her to stand on her own.

Ezra Bridger and Captain Rex? Those characters returning makes sense after her episode in The Mandalorian. However, there’s no need to force a reunion with Obi-Wan, Zeb, Kallus, and Sabine just to nudge at the fans.

4 Yes: Quinlan Vos

The Force has a knack for bringing Force users together. After the Dark Disciple novel, many fans are still questioning if Quinlan Vos is still alive or not. The character was so in the middle that he could end up being a hero or a villain over time. This means Quinlan Vos could end up being a perfect ally for Ahsoka…or the perfect villain.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order previously showed how a rogue Jedi could be a dangerous threat. Taron Malicos nearly conquered what was left of Dathomir. Imagine what Quinlan Vos could do; plus, Ahsoka had a connection to Quinlan’s love Asajj Ventress.

3 No: Replicating Grogu

Merchandising is ideal, everyone is going to want an Ahsoka figure or dress up as her for Halloween. That being said, this show does not need to follow the same marketing ploy as The Mandalorian. Grogu was both marketable and was an interesting new character which made it work.

Ahsoka is strong enough as a character to carry the spin-off series. She does not need a super cute alien sidekick or a droid buddy on her shoulder. Besides, Cal Kestis and BD-1 already have that covered.

2 Yes: Anakin’s Force Spirit

The announcement that Hayden Christensen is returning as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi’s series immediately sparked the idea. Since Star Wars: Ahsoka will be post-Return Of The Jedi, Ahsoka could reunite with her master as a Force Spirit.

If done right, Ahsoka seeing the true Anakin Skywalker again could be one of the most tear-jerking scenes in Star Wars canon. Throw in the nicknames Snips and Skyguy and tissue manufacturers will have made a mint off the series.

1 No: Killing Off Ahsoka

It’s become a common trope in many franchises: want to finish an iconic character’s story? Kill them. In some cases like with Logan, it works, but even fans get tired of seeing iconic characters sacrifice themselves or die in final movies/episodes. Not everything has to end in a bittersweet fashion.

With all the trauma and darkness that Ahsoka Tano has endured, Ahsoka just deserves to have a happy ending. Even if that means just her retiring in a hut as a ronin Jedi, so be it. It may be considered the Hollywood ending, but happy endings are a good thing here and there.
