Nintendo’s new Animal Crossing amiibo cards Series 5 packs will be available for purchase on November 5. Previous series, released years before Animal Crossing: New Horizons, have been in high demand since the new game’s launch, leading to high prices on third-party marketplaces. Series 5 will bring 48 new Animal Crossing amiibo cards, including some for villagers and NPCs first introduced in New Horizons and its upcoming 2.0 update.
New Horizons added eight new villagers to the series, including the popular Raymond, a well-dressed cat it seemed every player wanted on their island. Animal Crossing amiibo cards Series 5 finally introduces a guaranteed way to make that happen, with cards that allow Raymond and the other new villagers to be invited to town. As an added surprise, the Animal Crossing Direct announced Series 5 will include an entirely new set of villagers being introduced to the game in the 2.0 update.
Available at various retailers in November, each Animal Crossing amiibo cards Series 5 pack includes six cards. Of the 48 cards in the set, only 34 were confirmed in the Animal Crossing Direct, but the entire set has since surfaced online, listed below via amiibo life. 24 of the cards are NPCs, while the remaining 24 are villagers, comprised of the eight New Horizons originals, eight brand-new villagers from the 2.0 update, and eight villagers from earlier in the franchise that are returning in the 2.0 update.

DLC NPC Amiibo Cards
Along with these existing NPCs, the amiibo cards will account for the three NPCs being introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ DLC. Lottie was first featured in the Happy Home Designer spinoff game for Nintendo 3DS, but Niko and Wardell are new, and all will have an important role in the Happy Home Paradise expansion.
- Lottie – #420
- Niko – #421
- Wardell #422
New Horizons Villager Amiibo Cards
New Horizons’ original villagers, including Sherb, Megan, Raymond, and more, will be getting their own cards. Right now, the only way to invite these villagers to an island is to find them in the game or to get them from other players, but the Animal Crossing amiibo cards will introduce a much easier method.

- Chabwick – #441
- Zoe – #442
- Ace – #443
- Rio – #444
- Frett – #445

While it’s great to see all of these characters coming to the amiibo card set, the last two groups are especially exciting. The new villagers were a highlight of the Animal Crossing Direct, and the amiibo cards mean New Horizons players will have a direct way to get them in-game – that is, as long as the cards aren’t sold out immediately.
