Animal Crossing 20 Update Every NPC Coming To Harvs Island

A ton of new features are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in its final free content update. Teasers pointed to Brewster and The Roost being the update’s main additions, but the Animal Crossing Direct revealed much more is coming in the 2.0 version of the game. One major change is the addition of many returning NPCs – and their accompanying shops – to Harv’s Island. With some help from players, Harvey’s photography studio will no longer be alone there, as it will be joined by an open-air market with a variety of familiar faces.

Since the release of New Horizons, the chilled-out Harvey has lived alone on his island, operating a photo studio free of charge. Players have been able to visit Harv by flying on Dodo Airlines, decorating the studio and wearing costumes for photoshoots. The Animal Crossing community has found all sorts of creative uses for Harv’s Island, but it has remained nothing more than a studio. With the 2.0 update, NPCs from New Horizons and past Animal Crossing games will join Harv, giving players many more reasons to visit.

Harvey’s longtime friend, Harriet, has arrived to help spruce up the place with her plans for an open air market. She first appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World and was a previously missing NPC from New Horizons. When players visit Harv’s Island after the 2.0 update has launched, gyroids will be set up around a clearing, waiting to accept Bells in exchange for the installation of new shops.

NPCs Coming To Harv’s Island Market In Animal Crossing’s 2.0 Update

Each of the shops appears to be a simple market stall operated out of a camper vehicle. Harriet herself will set up an outdoor salon, but she’ll be joined by several other NPCs in the Animal Crossing 2.0 update. The following characters, listed with the game they first appeared in, will set up shop on Harv’s Island.

Harv’s Island Market appears to be a place for New Horizons’ traveling merchants to set up permanent facilities. Redd, Kicks, Leif, and Saharah will all be readily accessible there, provided players have coughed up the Bells to build their stalls. This should espcially cut down on the frustrations of trying to complete an art collection, but it also makes a wide range of items easier to find. Entirely new shops are bringing expanded features to New Horizons as well, though.

Reese and Cyrus are offering a place for players to customize even more furniture items. Only certain items have been customizable through the DIY workbench, but Reese and Cyrus can change the color of – to use the Animal Crossing Direct’s example – lighthouses, as well as other structures. Fortune telling from past AC games will return with Katrina, and Harriet is bringing new hairstyles to the game. It also appears that players’ storage will now be accessible while on Harv’s Island, thanks to returning NPC Tortimer. The upcoming 2.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is adding lots of new content to the game, but the longtime NPCs’ arrival on Harv’s Island is likely a particularly welcome addition for fans of previous games.
