Animal Crossing How To Get The Brewstoid

Brewster was one of the most anticipated additions to Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ 2.0 update, and players can finally stop in at the Roost for a cup of his fresh coffee. Once players find Brewster and invite him to the island, he’ll open his café on the second floor of the museum. Like the museum, the Roost is open 24/7, so players can enjoy Brewster’s coffee and company no matter what time of the day they play.

In his appearances throughout the Animal Crossing series, Brewster has been known to love Gyroids, which were another welcome addition in the 2.0 update. Gyroids are charming animated furniture items that sing and dance when the player gets close to them, and they sing along to music that is playing nearby. With 36 different types of Gyroids in the game, players can collect their own chorus, and they can even be customized to match the furniture of a room.

As a long-time collector of Gyroids himself, Brewster will give the player a Gyroid when they first find him on one of Kapp’n’s island tours. He no longer stores Gyroids as he does in Animal Crossing: City Folk, but his Gyroid collection can be seen on the shelves in the back room of his café. While Brewster takes some time to open up, once the player has befriended him, he will reward them with a very special Gyroid in his own image: the Brewstoid.

How To Befriend Brewster In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Brewster is known to be a bit shy and even stand-offish in his appearances throughout the series, but players can get him to warm up to them by drinking enough coffee in his café. Each day that players stop in for a cup, Brewster’s dialogue will become progressively friendlier, and new coffee options will be unlocked. Drinking coffee for three days will allow players to order coffee to-go, and after the sixth day, Brewster will occasionally offer them a splash of pigeon milk. Not only that, but Brewster will also give the player gifts as a token of his appreciation for their frequent patronage.

Brewster’s gifts range from DIY recipes to coffee-themed furniture and items, but the best gift of all is the prized Brewstoid. Brewster will give players this unique Gyroid after drinking coffee in his café for 51 days. The Brewstoid looks just like Brewster and coos like a pigeon, and it’s the only Gyroid in the game that can’t be customized. This item is one-of-a-kind and cannot be ordered from the Nook Shopping catalog, so if it gets lost, tossed, or sold, it’s gone for good. Players can check how many days they’ve drank coffee on the “Come Home to the Roost” card in the Nook Miles app on their Nook Phone.
