Animal Crossing New Horizons Moving & Rotating Furniture in Your House

What is Animal Crossing: New Horizons without home decoration perfection? From the first moments of the game, players are tasked with filling their personal homes with all sorts of decorative and useful items that can be found around the island. Getting all of that stuff in just the right place is the name of the game.

Moving around furniture is second only to buying it in the first place. After a long day digging up trees and building houses for visitors, players want to come home to a finely decorated pad. The first step is moving and rotating all of your heavy stuff. This guide will show you how to get your rooms sorted out properly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Moving furniture is very simple to do. Anything that can be placed in a room can be moved by the player. Simply stand to the Right or Left of the item and turn your character so that they are facing it. Hold down the A Button and use the Thumb-Stick to walk forward or backward to slide the object across the floor. When you want to rotate the object, tilt the Thumb-Stick up or down.

Moving Objects with the Cursor in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Once the player has upgraded from the original tent to a full-sized home, the option to edit whole rooms at once will be given. Press Down on the D-Pad to open up the Room Editor. Use the cursor to hover over an object and press A to pick it up and move it around. Tap A to rotate objects and Y to store them for later use.

If more than one object needs to be moved at once, use the R button to select them all. The Plus button can be used to toggle between moving objects that are mounted on the walls and moving objects which are resting on the floor.

Once mastered, players will be able to make their island houses into the perfect paradise and show off their unique style in many different ways. There is no better feeling than getting a room decorated just the way you like it.
