The character of Lucy (played by Kristen Bell) had a main role in the series from Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. She was killed by Desmond in the latter game, with Desmond revealing in Assassin’s Creed III that he wasn’t forced to do it by Juno but because Juno had shown him Lucy’s truth of being a Templar mole.

She had originally been sent by the assassins to spy on the Templars, only for Lucy to turn on them and join the Templars to become a triple agent. This kind of plotline would work well in the TV series, as the overarching story can accommodate various twists and turns.

9 Templars And Assassins Attempt To Reach A Truce

The Kenway Saga was a time where the series tackled the idea that Assassins and Templars could coexist. This was furthered in Assassin’s Creed Unity, where the Templar Grand Master was killed by his own men because he wanted to reach a truce with the Assassins.

The TV series can avoid the needless conflict the games are required to insert for the gameplay experience and dive fully into this storyline. Through this, there can be sympathetic Templars, which will allow for more layered characters for this faction and present a theme over who between the Templars and Assassins has the moral high ground.

8 An Assassin Converting A Templar To Their Side

The indulgence into a love story between an assassin and a Templar turned into one of the most hated storylines for fans, but the plot of Altair falling in love with the Templar Maria and converting her into an assassin was far better received.

This is because the angle involves bringing the best of what the assassin ideology entails and the show can do just that by placing an assassin and Templar together where the latter character slowly starts to understand why the Assassins fight for freedom.

7 The Main Character’s Issue With The Assassin Ideology

Desmond had a problem with being raised as an assassin because he didn’t have a choice in the matter, which, ironically, went against the Assassins’ ideology. This plot arose in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as well, where Desmond’s recordings claimed he had felt Ezio feel the same regret.

It’s a simple plotline to follow that doesn’t require a lot of set-up for fans to be accustomed to. The games had placed this storyline as the main one for Assassin’s Creed II, where Ezio had tracked Rodrigo Borgia’s quest to find the vault.

5 Abstergo Manipulating Assassins’ Memories To Their Benefit

Abstergo started a campaign against the Assassins after the events of Assassin’s Creed III where they uncovered memories of past assassins and made them available to the public by disguising them as virtual games to be played.

These were altered to make it appear as if the assassins were the bad guys, and portrayed as kind of a joke, with the Templars of the past placed as the ones trying to stop them. It would be a creative take the TV show can incorporate, as viewers will definitely be bamboozled into thinking that a character is a villain, only for them to turn out to be an assassin and the real protagonist.

4 The Main Character’s Attempts To Locate Their Family

Some games in the series have had the potential to be adapted into movies. The reason for this is that the arc in these titles is relatable and can be told without being stretched out. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey featured Kassandra’s attempts to rehabilitate her villainous brother and reunite him with their mother.

Under this plotline, the TV series can instantly place the character in the past as a sympathetic figure, one whose journey viewers will be excited to follow in order to see if they do reunite with their family. It can also be flipped over and play out in the modern-day instead.

3 A Mysterious Character Leaving Clues For The Assassins

It wouldn’t be an Assassin’s Creed story if a number of unexplained clues weren’t left out. The 2016 movie made the mistake of assuming fans wanted a straightforward plot and ended up being a failure. The TV show can follow the story of Subject 16, who left a number of clues for Desmond to follow.

The entire basis of the Assassin’s Creed series has been the Human-Isu War in the past, whose remnants keep popping up in the modern-day. The TV show can finally answer several unanswered questions in this regard by flashing back to the past.

Since the games haven’t shown the resistance other than in small flashbacks, the show can fully portray the events of this time and just how exactly the war had been placed before the first disaster struck. It could also see the return of Adam and Eve in live-action form.
