Bachelorette Zac Clarks Ex Jennifer Says Shes Not Sure If Hes Being Genuine

Zac Clark’s ex-wife Jennifer recently stated in an interview that she doesn’t know for sure if he’s being genuine when she sees the relationship he shares with Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette. The front-runner on this season hasn’t had any major red flags come up yet. Could this be cause for concern if he and Tayshia end up together?

When Clare Crawley was the lead, Zac was an ancillary character, barely shown connecting with the lead. That changed when Tayshia entered the picture. He was one of the first ones to establish a deep connection with the 29-year-old phlebotomist. Their bond only grew as Zac shared difficult things about his past, and how he struggled with substance abuse. He said it was one of the things that derailed his marriage. When he told Tayshia on the lie detector group date that he had cheated before, Tayshia looked like she was ready to call it quits. Then Zac surprised her by saying the only time he was unfaithful was in a Bowl-A-Rama in the sixth grade. As Zac has advanced to hometowns and fantasy suites, he still appears to be the man to beat. With Brendan Morais now out of the picture, after dumping Tayshia at the end of last episode, there are now just Zac and Ivan remaining, assuming Ben Smith’s attempt to win back Tayshia’s heart fails. Does Tayshia have something to worry about when it comes to how honest and up-front Zac is being with her?

Zac’s ex-wife Jennifer Stanley-George told Us Weekly that she wishes Zac and Tayshia well if they end up together, but “I just don’t know if he’s being completely honest and genuine on TV.” She added that she wasn’t sure if she felt that way “just because I’m scarred from our past.”

From what Zac has shared with Tayshia, Jennifer seems to have a valid concern about Zac being in it for the wrong reasons. He clearly hurt her by not being present enough and by letting his drug problem affect the relationship. It should be noted that Jennifer’s interview with Us Weekly is mostly positive and does not trash Zac, unlike many past interviews of exes of guys on The Bachelorette.

While there is always drama that arises near the end, it appears like this time, Tayshia did actually choose four really great guys to bring to “hometowns.” While Zac and Ben in particular have experienced rocky pasts, their hearts are in good places, from what we can see thus far. That’s good for Tayshia, and if it leads to happiness in the end rather than heartbreak, in a year that has been devastating enough as it is, we’ll take it.
