Best Armor Sets in Ghost of Tsushima (& Where to Find Them)

Jin Kasai is a skilled warrior regardless of what he wears. Ghost of Tsushima’s protagonist is known for being relentless in battle no matter the opponent, as well as stylish when out travelling the country side. Armor is important to a samurai, and thus is important to players.

Armor types aren’t mixed and matched the way they can be in similar titles. Players receive armor sets all at once from specific locations. These armor types come with special abilities and buffs that can aid in whatever the player is trying to accomplish at the time. Players should change armor often depending on the situation. Here’s how to get the best armor sets in Ghost of Tsushima.

Best Armor Sets in Ghost of Tsushima (& Where to Find Them)

Armor sets are not differentiated into types by the game. They do seem to have certain perks attributed to them that would link them up with specific play types. There are armor sets that help players blend in with their environments or prevent them from being spotted as quickly. There are also some that protect the player from oncoming damage and boost their overall health bar. Choosing the right armor for the upcoming mission is probably the best strategy to adopt. There is no one armor that will help the player with every situation.

The Best Armor Types in Ghost of Tsushima

If the player is interested in taking on most objectives using stealth, they should take a look at the Mongol Commander’s Armor (Found in the Tale, ‘Fit for a Khan’) or the Ghost Armor (Found in the story quest, ‘From the Darkness’). Both of these armors are fit for blending in and preventing the enemy from detecting the player quickly. The Mongol armor actually cloaks the player while they travel in the world. The armor allows the player to appear as a Mongol to troops as they roam the country. Outside of combat, players are mostly invisible. The Ghost Armor is not invisible, but will allow the player to extend the amount of time needed for enemies to detect them. It also raises the effectiveness of Ghost Weapons.

On the other hand, some players want to go in swinging swords and taking names. The Gosaku Armor (Found by completing the Mythic Tale ‘The Unbreakable Gosaku’) and the Sakai Clan Armor (Found during the main story quest ‘Ghosts from the Past’) are both great for head on encounters. The Sakai Clan Armor increases melee attack damage and overall health as well as increasing the amount of opponents who can be killed in a Standoff. Standoffs in this armor now have a higher chance of terrifying enemies. The Gosaku Armor gives the same increase in health but also increases stagger damage. Killing staggered armor in this armor restores health.
