Despite Sony taking a huge risk with publishing Bloodborne, gamers the world over have made sure that the From Software-developed title has become a smash hit, as many fans and outlets alike have gone on to deem the action-RPG one of the top 10 best video games of 2015. As it happens, tons of folks continue to play the release and hone their skills, like player Tolomeo, who recently defeated all of the title’s bosses on New Game +6, without leveling beyond 4, and without ever dodging or rolling once.

For the uninitiated, Bloodborne’s New Game +7 mode is the hardest difficulty possible, so Tolomeo’s feat has been done in a setting a step below that with his seventh consecutive playthrough. However, surviving in a title as notoriously punishing as the aforementioned action-RPG is practically impossible without utilizing evasive maneuvers, so the player’s expertise is unquestionably impressive.

Thankfully, Tolomeo has evidence of the full run posted on his YouTube channel, but due to the fact that it’s rather lengthy, he’s spliced it up in to several more easily digestible segments. In order to get an idea of just how good of a player he is, gaming fans would do well to check out the video below of him defeating Ludwig, the first boss in The Old Hunters DLC.

According to Tolomeo’s post on the game’s official subreddit, it took him 9 total hours of attempts to defeat Ludwig, 7 on Laurence, and 6 for Orphan of Kos. Plus, with Gehrman and Shadows being Bloodborne’s most fearsome bosses, it took him 4 hours of trying to beat them apiece.

In the past, there have been Bloodborne fans who have achieved similar exercises of self-imposed gameplay restrictions, all of which vary in quality. For instance, some have simply finished the game with a level 4 character, while others crushed Ludwig the Accursed at NG+7. There was even a player who took on The Old Hunters to beat it using fists only. Nevertheless, all of these accomplishments pale in comparison to Tolomeo’s, which is somewhat of an amalgam of these undertakings.

At any rate, with so many players still sinking large amounts of time into playing Bloodborne, it’s obvious that the team at From Software has done something right to please fans. As a matter of fact, a lot of gamers would even go as far as to say that Bloodborne is the PlayStation 4’s best exclusive thus far. So, of course, should developers decide to make the city of Yharnam even more fearsome with additional expansions in the future, fans will surely be willing to accept the challenge.

Bloodborne, along with its most recent expansion, The Old Hunters, is out now and is available exclusively for PlayStation 4.
