Released in 2010, Megamind was one of the biggest animated hits of the year financially in a year that was jam-packed with fantastic animation. Pitt plays the Superman-esque hero Metro Man in one of his one very few animated voice roles.

The movie had an opening weekend of $46,016,833 from a budget of $130,000,000. That weekend kicked off a domestic run that seen the film earn $148,415,853, which, combined with its international gross of $173,469,912, takes its worldwide total to $321,885,765.

9 SE7EN (1995) – $327,333,559 WORLDWIDE

Directed brilliantly by David Fincher, Se7en is a fantastic, suspenseful, and brilliantly made crime thriller that sees Pitt starring as hotshot Detective David Mills, a role which Pitt plays amazingly and one that has become iconic for the famous “What’s in the box?” scene.

The movie had a relatively modest budget of $33,000,000 and grossed $13,949,807 on its opening weekend en route to a domestic total of $100,125,643. Internationally, the movie earned over double that with $227,207,916 taking the worldwide gross of the film to $327,333,559.

8 THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON (2008) – $335,802,786 WORLDWIDE

Another collaboration between Brad Pitt and David Fincher comes in the form of the epic fantasy flick, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. In it, Pitt plays the titular Benjamin Button as he navigates a backward life in a role that seen the star nominated for an Oscar.

The movie had a big $150,000,000 budget, earning $127,509,326 domestically: that started with a $26,853,816 weekend. This domestic total combines with the international gross of $208,293,816 to bring it to a worldwide total of $335,802,786.

7 OCEAN’S TWELVE (2004) – $362,744,280 WORLDWIDE

The second installment in the Ocean’s franchise, Ocean’s Twelve follows the group, including Pitt’s reprised role as Rusty Ryan, as they are forced into completing another high stakes heist in Europe, in a crime flick less successful than the first installment.

6 ONCE UPON A TIME… IN HOLLYWOOD (2019) – $389,021,383 WORLDWIDE

One of Pitt’s latest movies, his latest collaboration with Quentin Tarantino, and the movie likely to earn Pitt his first acting Oscar for his role as a stunt man and best friend of, Leonardo Di Caprio’s Rick Dalton, Cliff Booth, Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood is a very successful movie, and one of this awards season’s biggest contenders.

Opening to a weekend of $41,082,018 and going on to earn $141,842,532 domestically, the movie had a $90,000,000 budget and its worldwide gross of $389,021,383, was made up of its domestic total and its international gross of $247,178,851.

5 OCEAN’S ELEVEN (2001) – $450,717,150 WORLDWIDE

Pitt’s first outing as the partner of George Clooney’s Danny Ocean, Rusty Ryan came in 2001’s hit Ocean’s Eleven. The film was a thoroughly entertaining heist movie that was filled with great performances including Pitt’s.

The movie had an $85,000,000 budget and made up $38,107,822 of that in its opening weekend. It grossed a domestic total of $183,417,150 and an international total of $267,300,000 to make it’s worldwide total gross $450,717,150, the fifth highest-grossing movie of 2001.

4 MR & MRS. SMITH (2005) – $487,287,646 WORLDWIDE

One of Pitt’s most successful movies is the action/crime flick Mr & Mrs. Smith which sees him famously team up with Angelina Jolie as the pair take up the titular roles as assassins in disguise as a mundane married couple. The chemistry in the leads shines and it is a very fun flick.

3 TROY (2004) – $494,409,852 WORLDWIDE

The 2004 blockbuster hit Troy Pitt plays Achilles, a seemingly unstoppable soldier, and does so decently, fitting the mold of the film well in its entertaining, spectacle environment, even though the film does lack depth and emotional touch.

2 WORLD WAR Z (2013) – $540,007,876 WORLDWIDE

In what is the first film on the list that highlights Pitt’s skill as a producer, World War Z sees Pitt give a solid performance as Gerry in an apocalyptic, zombie thriller that sees a violent pandemic rage through the world, a pandemic that Gerry seeks to end.

The movie kicked off its domestic run of $202,359,711 with a $66,411,834 opening weekend. Internationally the movie grossed a total of $337,648,165 taking it’s worldwide total gross $540,007,876, all from a budget of $190,000,000.

1 DEADPOOL 2 – $785,794,179 WORLDWIDE

In what was a shocking, initially confusing, and pretty brilliant cameo, Deadpool 2 seen Brad Pitt make a very brief cameo. This is as Vanisher, a part of X-Force who fans do not see until he is electrocuted to death and it is revealed to be Pitt.

The film had a $110,000,000 budget which was made back up in its entirety and more in the movies $125,507,153 opening weekend. It then went on to gross a total of $324,591,735 domestically and $461,202,444 internationally to make it’s worldwide total gross $785,794,179.
