10 Cow Belles (2006)
Cow Belles is one of Disney Channel’s most popular sister comedies. The movie stars Aly and AJ Michalka as Taylor and Courtney Callum, wealthy sisters whose father owns a successful dairy. When their dad’s colleague surprises him with a trip to a jungle to look for butterflies, Taylor and Courtney are alone for the summer. Their carelessness in causing a housefire is the last straw that leads their dad to set them up with summer jobs at the dairy.
Taylor and Courtney are still privileged by the movie’s end, but the girls learn a little bit more about what real adult life is like and how they can actually help people.
9 Sense And Sensibility (1995)
The Jane Austen literary canon has been developed into numerous films and other works throughout the decades.
Sense and Sensibility is a fantastic movie adaptation of the 1811 novel. Emma Thompson is the perfect Elinor Dashwood, and Kate Winslet is a lovely Marianne. The sisters lean on each other as their family circumstances change after their father’s death, confiding in one another and maturing with strength and grace.
8 Double Teamed (2002)
Filmmakers are met with a few choices when casting twins, and Disney Channel’s Double Teamed features two unrelated actresses for the twin roles of Heather and Heidi Burge. Based on a true story, the movie details the Burge sisters’ journeys from high school sports to the WNBA.
Heather (Poppi Monroe) is a driven athlete, but Heidi (Annie McElwain) wants to explore other passions, like the dramatic arts. With their sports-obsessed dad driving their futures, the twins eventually become skilled basketball players who finish the movie with a greater love and respect for each other.
7 New York Minute (2004)
Of all Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s sisterly endeavors, New York Minute best highlights their characters’ relationship.
Roxy Ryan (Mary-Kate) is a musically-gifted truant who is always plotting her next excuse to cut class. Jane Ryan (Ashley) is the ultimate overachiever, constantly prepping for her big speech to win a fellowship. When these two unlikely companions get stuck together in New York City for the day, they must put their differences aside and work together to achieve their separate goals for the trip.

The 1998 remake of The Parent Trap is one of the most nostalgic family movies of all time. Lindsay Lohan made a name for herself playing twins Annie and Hallie.
The girls meet at summer camp and discover they were separated at birth. As the classic story goes, Annie and Hallie switch places and plot to bring their mother and father back together by the end of the film. Though they spend much of the movie miles apart from each other, they are of one mind in reuniting their parents.
5 Twitches (2005)
Twitches is one of Disney’s famous Halloween movies, and it stars the iconic Tia and Tamera Mowry as Alex and Camryn, respectively.
The magical twins don’t meet after birth until their twenty-first birthday, and there’s not much time for catching up. Camryn and Alex learn that as twin witches, they must defeat the Darkness to save their biological home of Coventry. The movie has dubious CGI, but its leads are incredible and always worth watching.
4 Little Women (1994)
As much as viewers like the 2019 Little Women, those who grew up in the 1990s might have a soft spot for the 1994 version of Louisa May Alcott’s classic book. The March sisters are portrayed by Winona Ryder (Jo), Clare Danes (Beth), Kirsten Dunst (younger Amy), Samantha Mathis (older Amy), and Trini Alvarado (Meg).

Hilary and Haylie Duff occasionally collaborated on projects for their fans, and Material Girls was really something. The movie is an interesting time capsule of mid-2000s Hollywood culture.
The Duffs play the heiresses to their deceased father’s cosmetics company. Like the Callums in Cow Belles, Ava and Tanzie Marchetta lose some of their wealth for a time, but Material Girls dials up the investigative factor and puts more emphasis on finding the mole in the company.
1 Wish Upon A Star (1996)
Every so often, Katherine Heigl fans rediscover her work in Wish Upon a Star. This Disney movie existed before DCOMs and is known as a Disney Channel Premiere Film.
Heigl plays the beautiful and popular Alexia Wheaton, and Danielle Harris plays the studious little sister, Hayley Wheaton. The characters gaze up at the same star and unwittingly wish for exactly the same thing—to be the other sister. This body-switching movie encompasses so many elements of 1990s teen pop culture, but it also teaches Alexia and Hayley to appreciate one another.
