Deathstrokes Armor vs Black Panthers Vibranium Which is Stronger

Both DC and Marvel have powerful costumes, such as Black Panther’s vibranium Panther Habit and Deathstroke’s Ikon Suit. Black Panther’s costume allows him to walk right into the fire, but on the other hand, Deathstroke’s Ikon Suit can withstand blows from Superman himself. With this said, which is the most protective material?

Fans regularly compare indestructible comic book materials, like Marvel’s adamantium and vibranium. Over the years, the Wakandan material has proven that it’s still the best overall. For example, vibranium and adamantium are the most durable substances on Marvel’s Earth-616. The difference between the two is density. In Fabian Nicieza and Yanick Paquette’s Gambit #17, adamantium prooves denser than vibranium. This means adamantium can potentially cut through vibranium, but the energy-related features, such as redistributing recycled kinetic energy, remain in vibranium alone.

DC’s Nth metal, used by Hawkman and Hawkgirl, is less dense than vibranium, but its upside is that it weighs the least. Even if adamantium is more durable than vibranium, the density of the Wakandan metal still outweighs Nth metal so much that it’s barely a contest. Since their creation, Captain America’s Shield and T’Challa’s Panther Habit contain the most potent metal in DC or Marvel. However, Dr. Ikon’s new Gravity Sheathe suit from 2016’s Deathstroke run presents another challenge for vibranium. In Deathstroke #8 by Christopher Priest, Larry Hama, and Carlo Pagulayan, the Ikon Suit takes several hits from Superman, rebounding the Man of Steel’s kinetic energy back to him.

If T’Challa punched Deathstroke’s Ikon Suit with his vibranium suit at kinetic capacity, it could be the end for Black Panther. However, with T’Challa’s adaptability and technological intelligence, there’s little chance that Deathstroke would actually win in a fight. While Dr. Ikon’s gravity-based shield is seemingly invulnerable, it can deactivate as long as the opponent destroys the master programming. Meanwhile, nothing can “deactivate” vibranium. In Deathstroke # 23 (by Priest and Diogenes Neves), Ikon’s shield is also vulnerable to Inertron, an anti-gravity absorbent. Say T’Challa and Deathstroke are fighting in a battle to the death. The probability of T’Challa removing Deathroke’s shields is high, especially if T’Challa has two options. Once that happens, there’s just no chance of Slade winning.

In the end, vibranium remains the most resourceful material in DC or Marvel. With its durability triumphing over Thanagarian Nth metal, and its energy-related capabilities surpassing adamantium, little can stop it. While Dr. Ikon’s gravity-shielded suit has the potential to defeat a vibranium-powered opponent, the shield itself is not an actual substance; any technologically adept opponent could potentially deactivate it. Once Deathstroke’s gravity barrier is down, Slade had better hope T’Challa feels merciful because nothing stops the Black Panther.
