Do Beats Fit Pro Have Noise Cancellation Know This Before You Buy

Active noise cancellation is one of the most essential features for wireless headphones — but is it available on the Beats Fit Pro? Whether we’re talking about earbuds/headphones from Beats, Apple, Sony, Bose, or anyone else, ANC is a huge feature to be on the lookout for. Why? Because it makes headphones so much more versatile in countless situations. In a busy coffee shop and still want to hear your music? Active noise-canceling allows you to do that. Need to focus on a podcast while flying on a plane? ANC is there to save the day.

In November 2021, Beats took the wireless earbud world by storm when it announced the Beats Fit Pro. The compact earbuds are chock-full of useful features. They have a comfortable design with secure wingtips, nicely-balanced audio, up to 24 hours of total battery life, and work seamlessly with both iOS and Android devices. All of that’s available for just $199, making the Fit Pro fierce competition for the likes of AirPods Pro and the Sony WF-1000XM4.

There’s still one big question that remains unanswered, though — Do the Beats Fit Pro have active noise cancellation? Yes they do! No matter what device you’re using the Fit Pro with, the Beats earbuds support ANC without a hitch. It doesn’t block out every sound altogether, but it works well enough to make most background noises substantially quieter than they would be without the feature. The Beats Fit Pro can also reverse the effect for a transparency mode. If you want to talk to someone or hear a boarding announcement without removing the Fit Pro, simply enable transparency mode to hear your surroundings as if you weren’t wearing earbuds at all.

How To Use Noise Cancellation On Beats Fit Pro

Making all of this even better, enabling active noise cancellation on the Beats Fit Pro is a piece of cake. The easiest way to enable/disable ANC is by pressing and holding the playback button on either earbud. After you hear a small beep, the Beats Fit Pro will cycle between active noise cancellation and transparency mode each time the button is pressed. This works regardless of the device the earbuds are used with. No matter if they’re connected to an Android phone, iPhone, Mac, or Windows PC, pressing and holding the button will always control the ANC mode.

There are additional control options available for folks who’d rather not use the physical buttons. When Bits Fit Pro are paired with an iPhone or iPad, controlling ANC is as follows: Swipe down from the top-right of the screen to access the Control Center, press and hold the volume shortcut (it’ll show an icon of the Fit Pro), and tap ‘Noise Control.’ Users can then choose to set their Noise Control to Noise Cancellation, Transparency, or Off. There’s a similar shortcut when using the Fit Pro with a Mac device. Click the Beats Fit Pro icon at the top-right of the screen and choose one of the three Noise Control modes from the drop-down menu that appears. Android users also have their own ANC controls with the Fit Pro. To access them, download the free Beats app from the Play Store and sync it with the Fit Pro. Once that’s done, controlling ANC is as easy as opening the app and selecting your preferred Noise Control mode near the top of the screen.
