Dolittle Voice Cast & Character Guide

The Dolittle movie features an extensive, all-star voice cast alongside its main human attraction, Robert Downey Jr., but where have you seen these actors before? Directed by Stephen Gaghan and inspired heavily by Hugh Lofting’s 1922 children’s book The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle, the live-action CGI hybrid is the first film Downey Jr. has put out since his heroic finale in last year’s box office juggernaut Avengers: Endgame.

Though the Dolittle movie also stars live-action versions of Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen, Jim Broadbent, and Jessie Buckley, the appeal behind Dolittle is, without a doubt, its adorable animals. Universal Pictures put together an impressive cast behind-the-scenes that viewers will undoubtedly recognize – if they weren’t hidden behind animals like polar bears, squirrels, and dragons.

The Dolittle movie cast is primarily comprised of voice actors because the story is, at its core, about someone who can talk to animals. Here are all of the actors who are lending their voices to help bring the reboot its quirky, family-friendly charm.
