Elon Musks 15 Most Chaotic Tweets Ranked

Elon Musk’s 15 Most Chaotic Tweets, Ranked

Contents

Elon Musk may be one of the richest men on the planet, but his Twitter feed can often be quite chaotic, often with little censorship or filtering.

Elon Musk loves Twitter but Twitter has not always been kind to the quirky and unpredictable visionary since his tweets have earned him quite a bit of outrage and backlash, from people and even from his partner, Grimes. Musk’s attempts to be funny or edgy on Twitter don’t always land as he wants them to. He has occasionally even been responsible for tanking the stock of his own company, and on some occasions, he has been really, really wrong.

It’s safe to say Musk is a rather chaotic Tweeter, especially for someone who may very well be the second wealthiest man on the planet. There was the time when he announced that Tesla’s stocks were too high and so the stocks actually started tanking. Or when he supported his support for Kanye’s presidential run, but then he had to admit a couple of days later that they don’t agree on key issues.

15 When He Spread Ignorance About Comorbidity

Extremely big difference between died because of or died with. Also, did the person actually have C19 or did they just have C19 symptoms? It’s almost impossible to die without feeling weakness, shortness of breath or other C19 symptoms, unless you were crushed by a falling piano.

Musk’s pandemic tweets have perhaps done the most disservice to his credibility as he has been lashing out at people for feeling panic and anxiety across the United States. Musk sent out this bizarre and misinformed tweet about Covid deaths, which is not just wrong but also really confusing and misleading.

Not only does he clearly not understand the complexity of Covid symptoms or the fact that you can even be symptomless, but he seems to be in denial about the number of deaths Sweden has experienced due to actual confirmed Covid cases.

14 Is It Mars Or Moon?

To be totally frank, I did an image search on my phone & posted without looking closely

Remember when Elon Musk tweeted a photo of the moon with a caption reading, “Occupy Mars?” For any other visionary billionaire, this would have been a major “Oops” moment, especially since he was called out by Neil deGrasse Tyson. But Elon simply admitted how he usually tweets.

This is not just chaotic but also a glimpse into how carelessly his other tweets may have been delivered or how little time he might spend on confirming data before he tweets.

13 Musk Fail

Sweden was right pic.twitter.com/bzc2lFDjZQ

This one definitely did not age well, especially since Sweden had to launch wider lockdowns around December, as no lockdowns were in place in the country for quite a few months, even with cases rising rapidly. Not only did many feel that the country’s response was lax, as they never had a nationwide lockdown, but the precautions they did enforce were being exercised as voluntary.

So, when a Covid-skeptic living in Sweden tweeted in April that they did not understand the panic over the pandemic, Elon actually commended Sweden for being sensible.

12 Shorts Boy

Paired with thigh-high sockboots

Of course

Tweeters have often wondered how Elon Musk gets so much done in a single day and his tweets can actually offer some perspective on this. In the same weekend, Musk sent out high-profile tweets about some important, diverse issues, investor-sentiment polls, a video of Tesla’s most affordable electric car Model 3 moving over an icy tundra, and a super crucial update about the addition of short shorts to Tesla’s merch line, which Musk promised to model.

The now-famous unisex red satin short shorts with the word ‘S3XY’ scribbled on its back, of course, took the internet by storm and the company has even struggled to keep up with the huge demand.

11 When He Fully Supported Kanye’s Presidential Run But Then Had To Backtrack

You have my full support!

To no one’s surprise, Musk drew his conclusions too soon about his friend Kanye West’s presidential run. On July 4, Musk tweeted that Kanye has his full support to run for President, and just four days later, he conceded that he may have been wrong about this decision, as he and Kanye have more difference of opinions than he thought after Kanye announced he’s anti-vaccination and anti-abortion.

Musk did the responsible thing by publicly retracting his support, but he should have learned about Kanye’s priorities before he declared his full support, especially since he has more than 47 million followers.

10 Musk And Gates?

The rumor that Bill Gates & I are lovers is completely untrue

Musk is probably used to people around him laughing at him, but his Twitter followers sometimes struggle to understand the context of his random tweets. Musk’s funny denial of his and Bill Gates’ romance actually came after Gates low-key shaded him about his opinions on Coronavirus.

“Elon’s positioning is to maintain a high level of outrageous comments. He’s not much involved in vaccines. He makes a great electric car. And his rockets work well. So he’s allowed to say these things. I hope that he doesn’t confuse areas he’s not involved in too much,” Gates had said in July 2020.

9 This Very Ignorant Tweet

Panic is always dumb

Is panicking really dumb when there are lives at stake and people are dying at an alarming rate around the world? It is important to note that Musk tweeted this in March when Americans were probably at their most vulnerable because some preliminary guidelines hadn’t been greenlit and no one really understood how serious the situation was.

One might see a self-proclaimed genius billionaire’s tweet as assurance, which would have been a really bad idea, considering he compared the virus to the “common cold” in January.

8 Clubhouse Boys?

.@KremlinRussia_E would you like join me for a conversation on Clubhouse?

Clubhouse is the next big thing. Elon loves the Clubhouse app and is even planning a project with Kanye, but it’s confusing why he would want the Russian Government in the mix? He tagged the Kremlin, the office of the Russian Federation, and invited them for a conversation via the audio-only app.

Even before his followers could give it proper thought, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov actually responded to Musk’s invitation and told the media that he finds Musk’s offer very interesting and would give it a thought.

7 Mars Attack

T-shirt soon

In 2015, Musk made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and suggested “warming up” Mars by dropping thermonuclear weapons on its poles. He may have been joking, or he may have been totally serious, but Colbert quipped that Elon’s idea makes him sound like a supervillain.

Maybe Musk wasn’t entirely joking after all, because, in August 2019, he tweeted about nuking Mars again and announced a T-shirt line.

6 That Time He Got Corrected By The Flat Earth Society

Hi Elon, thanks for the question. Unlike the Earth, Mars has been observed to be round. We hope you have a fantastic day!

The Flat Earth Society may be on the wrong side of the argument on a very crucial issue and Elon Musk may know a whole lot of stuff about Mars, but the TFES did correct Elon Musk when he made a not-so-clever joke on Twitter, and people couldn’t help but cackle at the exchange.

When Musk tweeted why there wasn’t any Flat Earth Society, TFES had this excellent comeback.

5 What Does It Mean?

Some secrets are too dangerous to be free pic.twitter.com/g547UdmiJ7

It’s entirely possible that the billionaire pioneer knows more secrets about America than most people, but it’s pretty chaotic to tease such superbly dramatic secrets on Twitter without any context. He tweeted this meme about America not using the metric system, which shows that Musk may just feel he “knows” something big about this.

America is currently the only industrialized country in the world that does not use the metric system and it uses the imperial system instead. Musk claims that he knows something about this but some secrets are too dangerous, but what can this possibly mean?

4 Grimes Was Not Happy

Pronouns suck

Musk’s insensitive tweet slamming the use of gender pronouns got him in trouble with his partner Grimes, who immediately called him out. His tweet was especially controversial because this is a crucial issue in the trans rights movement. Besides thousands of people calling him out on Twitter, Grimes also urged him to take re-consider his stance, in a now-deleted tweet.

“I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a call [sic]. I cannot support this hate. Please stop this. I know this is not your heart,” Grimes wrote in reply to Musk’s tweet, but quickly deleted it.

3 This Musk Attempt

My gf @Grimezsz is mad at me

Musk made everyone super curious after he tweeted that he wants to do away with physical possessions and will own no house. How exactly this would work for a multi-billionaire wasn’t clear, but his partner Grimes was not in full support.

Musk’s tweets can often look like trains of thought, as if he is tweeting out to the entire world what he is thinking at the moment, however wild or impractical.

2 When His Tweet Tanked Tesla’s Stocks

Dude…I just lost $10k because of this tweet. Wtf is wrong with u

Maybe Musk should take more responsibility for declaring his angst or anxieties on Twitter since it can actually cost people real money? In May of last year, he tweeted that Tesla’s stock is too high and Tesla’s stock soon began to take a tumble, Here, an actual trader tweeted his outrage against Musk for his cavalier approach to tweeting.

1 Captain Mars?

Hey babe 😉

Twitter does love a funny billionaire, especially since most tech honchos often take themselves too seriously on social media. Musk’s quirky humor may be quite chaotic, but at times it’s also self-aware.

This recent tweet, for instance, proves that Musk is aware of how people associate him with any Mars-related news. Responding to the now-viral full rotation video of the planet Mars by NASA, Musk simply wrote this cheeky pick-up line and it had the Twitterati in stitches.
