Every Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Map Change

Season 6 of Fortnite Chapter 2 has arrived, and players have no doubt noticed the large host of additions to the game, which includes new skins, a convenient crafting system, and as demanded by a majority of the fanbase, major map changes. The changes come as a part of the new seasonal theme, survival, and along with the weapons, the map focuses on the “Primal” direction that Epic Games is headed in with the battle royale. As players have noticed by now, a couple of locations are seeing a major difference in the aftermath of the Zero Point finale.

While there aren’t too many structural changes from last season’s map, players can utilize this guide to get a head start on good locations to defend from enemy players while hunting for Golden Artifacts or finding materials and loot to craft items.

First, upon looking at the map, players will immediately notice the orange patch of trees that have spread from the center outwards, replacing the desert area from before. Aside from that, the two major changes to the map are the addition of The Spire in the middle, and Colossal Crops replacing Colossal Coliseum.

The Spire

The first of the two Fortnite Season 6 changes is the addition of The Spire, which replaces the Zero Point from last season. As the name implies, this location houses a huge, spiraling tower for players to climb. Around the tower are a handful of buildings for players to loot from, although it’s probably a good idea to keep a look out for any players already sitting at the top of the spire.

Colossal Crops

The second major location change for Season 6 is the replacement of Colossal Coliseum with Colossal Crops. Colossal Coliseum is completely destroyed save for a few walls that give players a good vantage point, and replaced with what appears to be a small farming village. As expected, the buildings in the village are filled with loot, though the open space may make any players an easy target for others.

Of course, with Season 6 just now starting, more changes to the map will be discovered as players venture out into the battle royale. For now, players may want to use this guide to help get their hands on a Hunter’s Cloak, which grants players a significant amount of XP towards their new battle pass, as well as some progress towards this week’s Legendary Quest.

Fortnite is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
