In a stunning new Fantastic Four body paint cosplay, cosplayer @charrar.b creates the Invisible Woman’s iconic costume and powers. The iconic co-leader of Marvel’s First Family is one of the publisher’s most important heroes as she’s been a key player in the Marvel Universe for more than 60 years. Now, a new body paint cosplay showcases Sue Storm and shows off the heroes incredible abilities at the same time.

Dr. Susan Storm has been the backbone of the Fantastic Four since first appearing In Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s Fantastic Four #1 alongside Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm. The Invisible Woman (originally known as the Invisible Girl) gained her powers like the rest of her team after their body was overcome with cosmic rays during a mission in space, granting each member of the expedition incredible, life-changing powers. The genius-level hero can make herself and others invisible while also being able to create invisible force-fields, which have come in handy during some of the team’s epic battles against Doctor Doom and Annihilus. Sue Storm will make her live-action debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming Fantastic Four film by Jon Watts.

Body paint cosplayer @charrar.b shared her take on Sue Storm from the Fantastic Four on her Instagram account. The Marvel Comics look brings the Invisible Woman’s iconic costume to life and shows off her powers in the process. The ensemble is shaded to add comic-accurate depth to the ensemble, as the hero’s trademark longhair and barrier-creation powers are on full display. It’s an impressive cosplay that looks like an actual costume instead of a creation solely made from paint – which it actually is.

@charrar.b is no stranger to recreating some of the most popular characters in pop culture with epic body paint looks. On her Instagram page, she’s also tackled Thena of the Eternals, brought Spider-Woman’s classic costume to life, and even tackled the sharpshooter Ashe from Blizzard’s Overwatch. She’s also taken on Captain Carter from What If…?, Rogue from the X-Men, and Hela from Thor: Ragnarok.

Sue Storm isn’t the most complicated cosplay, but part of what makes her look so iconic is the relative simplicity of her design. It’s fair to say @charrar.b succeeded in bringing the hero to life – which makes us even more excited to see the Invisible Woman and her classic costume in the live-action Fantastic Four sooner than later.
