The cast of Game of Thrones is undeniably talented. Even when the show started to go down the tubes in the later seasons, praise still went towards the cast and production values.

Strangely, much of the show’s cast hasn’t transitioned to mainstream film work. And even the mainstream movies that they have appeared in have received middling reviews from critics and audiences. Keeping that in mind, these are the Game of Thrones’ actors best movies, according to IMDb.

10 Peter Dinklage: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (8.2)

Peter Dinklage is the exception to the general mainstream movie rule. He has done a lot of popular movie work since breaking out on Game of Thrones, starring as Bolivar Trask in the acclaimed X-Men: Days of Future Past.

But his best movie, according to IMDb, is Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Granted, he’s only in the movie for about five minutes, but it’s a very memorable and important five minutes.

9 Lena Headey: The Remains Of The Day (7.8)

Lena Headey has always been known primarily for her TV work. Aside from Game of Thrones, Headey has also starred in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

As for her film work, her most successful movie on IMDb is the 1993 drama The Remains of the Day. The movie stars Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson, and was nominated for eight Academy Awards (winning none).

8 Emilia Clarke: Me Before You (7.4)

Emilia Clarke has starred in some blockbusters since breaking out as Daenerys, including Terminator Genisys and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Unfortunately, both movies were considered disappointments within their respective fandoms.

According to IMDb, Clarke’s greatest movie is Me Before You, a romantic drama in which Clarke’s Lou Clark falls in love with a recently-paralyzed man.

7 Kit Harington: How To Train Your Dragon 2 (7.8)

Like Emilia Clarke, a lot of Kit Harington’s leading man film work has received middling reviews, including Pompeii and MI-5.

In fact, his highest-rated film is the animated How to Train Your Dragon 2. Harington provides the voice of dragon trapper Eret. The movie was also acclaimed by critics and grossed over $620 million at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing movie of the series. If there’s one How to Train Your Dragon to be in, it’s this one.

6 Sophie Turner: X-Men: Apocalypse (6.9)

Outside of Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner is largely known for her work as Jean Grey in the X-Men film series. Unfortunately, Dark Phoenix was a colossal flop that all but ruined the series for the foreseeable future.

Its predecessor, X-Men: Apocalypse, was far more favorably received. It grossed $543 million at the worldwide box office and stands at a solid 6.9/10 on IMDb. However, it also sits at just 47% on Rotten Tomatoes thanks to “overloaded action and a cliched villain.”

5 Maisie Williams: Then Came You (7.0)

Unlike her real-life bestie, Maisie Williams hasn’t embarked on the mainstream blockbuster circuit. The closest she has come to a blockbuster is The New Mutants, but it’s looking like that movie will never come out.

In the meantime, her greatest role (according to IMDb) is that of Skye in the romantic comedy-drama Then Came You. The movie sits at 7.0/10 on IMDb based on 8,000 user ratings. Considering Arya’s incredible popularity, it’s interesting to see Williams eschew the mainstream.

4 Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Headhunters (7.5)

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, has starred in his fair share of popular movies.

He’s popped up in the likes of Mama and Gods of Egypt, although the latter was popular for wholly cynical and unfavorable reasons. His best movie is actually a Norwegian film released in 2011 titled Headhunters (or Hodejegerne in its native Norwegian). The movie was critically acclaimed and currently holds the record as the highest-grossing Norwegian film in history.

3 Alfie Allen: Jojo Rabbit (7.9)

Alfie Allen’s career has skyrocketed since starring as Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones (as anyone would expect). He’s starred in the likes of John Wick, The Predator, and Jojo Rabbit – the latter of which is his highest-rated movie on IMDb.

Allen plays Klenzendorf’s second-in-command, Finkel. It’s not just general audiences who love the movie. It was also well received by critics, scoring a 79% on Rotten Tomatoes and six Academy Award nominations.

2 Isaac Hempstead Wright: The Boxtrolls (6.8)

Here we have the King of Westeros himself – Isaac Hempstead Wright. Wright hasn’t appeared in many films, and his biggest movie role is undoubtedly that of Eggs in the 2014 Laika stop motion animated film The Boxtrolls.

The movie sits at a very respectable 6.8/10 on IMDb and 77% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising the movie’s “offbeat wit and visual splendor.”

1 Rory McCann: Hot Fuzz (7.8)

Rory McCann’s performances in Hot Fuzz and Game of Thrones are wildly different from one another. In the latter, he plays a gruff, violent, and stoic warrior who isn’t above murdering children on orders.

In the former, he plays a rather unintelligent henchman who acts like a child. His catchphrase – Yarp! – has become quite popular, and Hot Fuzz stands high within his filmography.
