Registration for the beta of Genshin Impact Version 2.3 is now open. As usual, only a limited number of fans who sign up will actually get chosen to participate. However, not much is known about the 2.3 content at this point, so getting into the beta is an especially enticing prospect for many fans. For those looking to sign up for the 2.3 beta before the registration period ends, here’s everything to know.
As usual, the announcement came via Genshin Impact’s popular Discord servers. In order to sign up, people will need to be a part of one of those servers. Other requirements include being 18 years of age or older and having a valid driver’s license or passport ID. Additionally, those chosen to participate will be asked to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), which has become par-for-the-course for Genshin Impact betas.
The Genshin Impact 2.2 beta was only recently open for sign-ups, and the free-to-play RPG is currently in its Version 2.1 content. So, despite Version 2.3 of the game being months away (with an expected late November release date), getting into the beta allows fans to see what kind of content is coming much earlier than most. As with recent beta sign-ups, fans can register with this Google Doc. They’ll also need to enter their Discord ID, Genshin Impact player IUD, and their miHoYo fan forum ID. Additionally, those who sign up will be asked for their name, country of origin, region, and email address.
What To Expect In Genshin Impact’s 2.3 Beta
Not everyone who registers is guaranteed to get into the beta, but it’s still the best way to preview content early. Despite NDAs and a recent crackdown on leakers, Genshin Impact beta leaks are pretty common. So even fans who don’t get in may still see sneak peeks of the 2.3 update early on. Most of this update is a mystery for now, but there are still a few things players can expect to find.
Presumably, Version 2.3 of the game will still focus on the relatively new Inazama region. The story currently focuses on the political turmoil of the Electro nation and the hubris of the Raiden Shogun. However, it’s certainly possible the narrative will turn back toward some of the previous regions. This could be especially true since more recent Genshin Impact character leaks like Shenli and Yunjin are from Liyue. Previous updates have added mechanics like housing, gardening, and fishing – so it’s likely 2.3 will add some kind of mechanic as well.
The usual addition of new weapons, playable characters, and limited-time events should also be expected for Version 2.3. Of course, with the Genshin Impact 2.3 beta opening up, fans shouldn’t have to wait too long to see what’s coming – since leaks have always appeared online in the past. Given miHoYo’s typical release schedule, Version 2.3 should arrive in late November 2021.
