Genshin Impact Characters Who Should Get Hangout Events Next

Genshin Impact is bringing back character Hangout Events with the Version 2.2 update. The only characters confirmed so far to be getting one of these events in 2.2 is Sayu and Thoma. Quite a few of the playable characters in the game – plus Thoma when Hu Tao’s Banner releases – still remain a bit of a mystery to players, especially those that haven’t gotten a Story Quest, either. Hopefully, the return of Hangouts Events in Genshin Impact means that more characters will be getting one, too.

Not every character that is added to the game plays a big role in the story of Genshin Impact, at least not initially. Because of this, it can be hard for players to learn about them as characters and to grow attached. Hangout Events provide the perfect opportunity to properly flesh these characters out, especially because they have multiple endings that players can unlock.

While Hangouts in Genshin Impact have existed in the past, only a handful of characters in the game have gotten one so far. Of these, the only character to get an Act 2 Hangout is Noelle. There are also Story Quests that can further explain a character’s backstory while also allowing the player to try the character out. As of now, Hangout Events are only available for 4-star characters. Every character should get a Hangout Event, but there are definitely some that need it more than others.

Genshin Impact’s Beidou Needs A Hangout Event

Captain Beidou in Genshin Impact is an Electro claymore user from Liyue. Players will have seen a bit more of her recently with her connections to the Inazuma storyline and her part in the Moonlight Merriment Event. Beidou is a fantastic character who is also really fun to play. While players can certainly learn more about her online or in her in-game profile, this character is in desperate need of a Hangout Event. A day on the high seas beside Captain Beidou would make for an incredibly fun quest, not to mention there is so much about her that has yet to be divulged, including her seemingly complex relationship with Ningguang.

Genshin Impact’s Ningguang Deserves A Hangout Event

Speaking of Ningguang, this 4-star Geo catalyst also deserves her own Hangout Event. Ningguang is a rather elusive and mysterious character. As one of the Liyue Qixing, she is incredibly powerful, and even more so considering she started her life very poor. Not much has been seen of Ningguang in Genshin Impact since the Liyue Archon Quest, so a catch-up is long overdue. She is apparently rebuilding the Jade Chamber, and it could be interesting to help her out with this one day while learning more about her as a character.

Genshin Impact’s Kujou Sara Should Get A Hangout Event

As one of the newer characters to Genshin Impact, there is still not a lot known about Electro user Kujou Sara. She made a few appearances during Inazuma’s Archon Quest and played a vital role in its conclusion, but players haven’t really had a chance to learn about her as a character. Considering the turmoil that Sara’s adoptive family is currently undergoing, she could almost certainly use the helping hand of the Traveler.

Sara could definitely use a day off from trying to stabilize the Tenryo Commission and from conducting peace talks with the Sangonomiya Resistance. Spending the day with Sara could also give players the opportunity to learn more about life in Inazuma. With Thoma and Sayu’s Hangouts coming, it would only make sense for the other Inazuma 4-star character to get one, too.

Genshin Impact’s Fischl Needs A Hangout Event

Almost no one is as mysterious as Fischl in Genshin Impact. This quirky character seems to live in her own world. Players haven’t gotten the chance to truly get to know Fischl, so she could really use a Hangout Event. This would be a great opportunity to learn about where she came from and how she developed her persona. There isn’t a character quite like Fischl in Genshin Impact, so she deserves some time in the spotlight. Because of how different she is, a day out with her could really be something special.

Genshin Impact’s Kaeya Should Have A Hangout Event

Perhaps a little like Fischl, Kaeya is also a bit of a mysterious character. This Knight of Favonius hasn’t gotten a moment of his own either, and there is still plenty to learn about him. For instance, players don’t really know how Kaeya spends his free time as they’ve only ever seen him in action. Kaeya also has quite a bit of history with Diluc, which would also be interesting to learn more about. The Mondstadt characters have also been relegated to the background for some time due to all the new characters from Liyue and Inazuma. It would be nice to check in on them.

Genshin Impact’s Lisa Deserves A Hangout Event

Considering that Hangout Events can be a sort of date, Lisa should definitely get one, too. Like the other Mondstadt characters, it has been a while since Lisa has appeared in Genshin Impact’s storyline. This flirtatious librarian has made no secret of her fondness for the Traveler and would almost certainly be kicking for the chance to spend the day with them.

Players have already had a kind of date with Lisa when she took them around to help with errands, but a Hangout Event could do even more. There wasn’t a great opportunity to really learn about Lisa during that quest, something that could be fixed with a Hangout. For instance, it would be nice to hear more about her time at the Sumeru Acadmia, especially with the Dendro region on the horizon.

Genshin Impact’s Amber Desperately Needs A Hangout Event

As the very first character players meet on their journey in Teyvat, it is sort of shocking that Amber hasn’t gotten a Hangout Event yet. While a lot of time is spent with Amber in Genshin Impact – especially during Mondstadt’s Archon Quest – quite a bit of time has passed since then. One year later, it would be nice to return to where it all began and to the girl it all began with. Players could spend the day helping Amber with her duties as the Knight of Favonius’ Outrider, just like old times. They could even reminisce about the memories they share. If anyone gets a new Hangout Event in Genshin Impact, it should be Amber.
