Although, not every realm present in the game can be explored like Asgard. These will likely be visited in a future entry of the series.

Defeat The Corrupted Valkyries in God of War

Once the game is completed, the map will be updated with the locations of all the corrupted Valkyries. On the map, they are represented by a purple icon with small white wings. These are basically optional bosses for the player to challenge but they are also very challenging. It’s a great time for players wanting to continue to test their skills. The game also provides small lore about the Valkyries by following this questline.

Complete Side Quests in God of War

This should likely be done before challenging the corrupted Valkyries since completing the side quests will net the player tons of experience. This will also help players get closer to completing 100% of the game. It’s also a great way to learn more about the lore of Midgard and about small characters in its world. Complete all of these to best optimize play when taking on tougher enemies.

New Game Plus in God of War

Carryover all of these neat weapons and abilities from a previous save into a new one. Especially when playing the game on a lower difficulty originally, players can now take on a much more challenging difficulty with all of their gear. It’s a great way to mix up the experience and go through something new in the game. It’s also great for unlocking challenges that can only be done on the hardest difficulties.

God of War on the PlayStation 4 completely vitalized the series, focusing more on storytelling and combat as if they were two sides of the same coin. Without jumping into spoilers, the ending of the game hints at exciting events to come, stating that Kratos’s adventures aren’t over just yet.
