Halo Infinite How to Reach Starlight Squad (The Easy Way)

Halo Infinite is unlike any other entry, as it permits players to explore Zeta Halo to rescue Marines like Starlight Squad as optional side missions. Starlight Squad is located at the southernmost part of the Zeta Halo map, and these Marines can be rescued as soon as players are able to explore the area. As players continue to progress through the campaign they’ll unlock new areas and Marines to rescue as well.

Before players can reach Starlight Squad, they’ll have to progress far enough within the Halo Infinite campaign to capture FOB Golf. After this mission has been completed the starting portion of the Zeta Halo map is accessible to players, allowing them to explore a fraction of Halo Infinite’s full landscape. Capturing FOB Golf also unlocks weapon and vehicle requisitions, as well as the ability to fast travel in Halo Infinite.

Unfortunately, Starlight Squad isn’t easy to get to using a land vehicle, but by using the Grappleshot players will reach Starlight Squad with ease regardless. After capturing FOB Golf, head to the mountaintop immediately south of Carrera Squad. There is a lone Jackal with a Stalker Rifle at the top of this mountain, and with limited weapon availability players should kill the Jackal and take its long-range plasma rifle. The Stalker Rifle is a new Banished weapon, classified as a sniper rifle although it feels like a more powerful Covenant Carbine from previous Halo entries.

How To Easily Reach Starlight Squad In Halo Infinite

After defeating the lone Jackal, use the Grappleshot to reach the adjacent mountaintop and continue south toward Starlight Squad. Another small Banished patrol is stationed at the peak of the mountain, and players should defeat them to collect more Stalker Rifle ammo. Additionally, a Brute may have a Mangler, a new weapon in Halo Infinite that can quickly defeat enemies without shields. Continue moving forward until the cliffside overlooking Starlight Squad has been reached. Using the Stalker Rifle, defeat as many Banished soldiers as possible before jumping down.

There are plenty of weapons in the area to resupply with quickly, but the weapons players should be picking up are the Skewer and VK78 Commando Rifle or BR75. The Skewer can be used to take out the larger Banished troops instantly, while the Commando rifle allows players to defeat many of the reinforcements with a single headshot. Use the Grappleshot to take height in on top of one of the higher Forerunner pillars, and crouch for cover. Starlight Squad will be released immediately after all enemies are defeated, and players will get more Valor in Halo Infinite as well.
