That fighting spirit, trust, and loyalty are essential for a relationship to flourish, whether on good times or bad times. And Cho best exhibited this, as much as she tried conjuring defensive and offensive spells inside the Room of Requirement. Nevertheless, her fighting determination counts.

In her first year at Hogwarts, Ginny was sorted into the Gryffindor House. Her personality truly mirrors several of the core Gryffindor traits: courageous, determined, loyal, spirited, and willful. And being a Gryffindor himself, Harry easily connects to Ginny and finds this opportunity to bond with her.

Seeing from this, it seems ideal that the “special someone” is at the House as he/she is. This is evident with Ron and Hermione having a relationship as two Gryffindors. Regardless of Hogwarts house, Harry and Ginny found ways to support each other with grace.

Back to Quidditch matters, it is mentioned that Cho was a seasoned Seeker for the Ravenclaw team. This is due to her being a huge fan of Quidditch, even boasting of her admiration for the Tornados Quidditch team. That led to her honing her skills and being exceptional in flying.

She was a valued Ravenclaw team member as a Seeker that she, as mentioned, faced off against Ginny. So, Harry and Ginny shared a passion for a valued sport. However, her skills suffered when her boyfriend Cedric Diggory passed away.

Ginny proved her worth as a witch when, at a young age, she honed her skills in casting spells and dueling. She showed the natural ability to quickly dodge her opponents’ attacks and spells. And as a member of Dumbledore’s Army, Ginny quickly learned how to cast defensive and offensive spells.

While there is an attraction between Harry and Cho in Goblet of Fire, it did not become a serious matter for Harry until the aftermath of Cedric Diggory’s death. Once Harry empathized with Cho’s heavy emotions, the latter began to accept her sudden attraction to him.

Their mutual attraction was fully realized when they kiss each other under the mistletoe. From there comes cute gestures with each other, like a Valentine’s Day and several feats within Dumbledore’s Army. They might as well seize the sweet moments before they all go sour.

3 Ginny Was Better: Supportive of Harry’s Cause

Defending Hogwarts with ease would not be possible without the involvement of Dumbledore’s Army. And by that, Harry is eternally grateful that Ginny kept the group active (along with Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom) and was ready to support him once he returned to the school to rebel against Snape as Headmaster.

On their personal moments together, Ginny guided Harry in hiding Harry’s annotated copy of Advanced Potion-Making to prevent him from looking back at it and, later, gave him a kiss to celebrate the team’s victory while he is on detention.

It is incredible to realize that Cho had evolved during her time in Hogwarts. She started off as a promising Ravenclaw and fulfilled her hopes to be a Seeker for her House’s Quidditch team. But when those hopes derailed, she found hope in Harry, his friends, and his crucial cause.

And when she betrayed Dumbledore’s Army to Umbridge, Cho was repentant of her mistakes and continued her allegiance with the Army. Her continuous personal change over highs and lows really proved that she can improve as a person. And hypothetically, she deserved a second chance.

Ginny is known to be a brave student who always showed her undying loyalty to her friend, in spite of the danger before her. And earnestly, she proved this since Chamber of Secrets when she defended Harry from Draco’s bullying. In return, Harry came to her rescue from the Basilisk inside the Chamber of Secrets.

Time and time again, Ginny proved to be a fearless defender for her friends and for Harry. For the latter, that is important to ensure his loved ones are safe, and his plans to defeat Voldemort are effective. And for both of them, Harry found his fellow conqueror of fears.
