Hawkeye’s adorable Lucky the Pizza Dog actor, Jolt, hilariously steals and eats a piece of pizza straight from another pup’s mouth.

Hawkeye’s Lucky the Pizza Dog is seen stealing another pup’s slice in a funny new video. After Marvel’s latest Disney+ series premiered this week, the golden retriever, originally a part of the Matt Fraction Hawkeye comics, quickly became a fan-favorite character. Clint Barton’s canine sidekick is portrayed on screen by Jolt, and upon the show’s release, the adorable animal actor has captured fans’ attentions through her social media content.

Hawkeye finds Avenger, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) partnering with the young Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to confront enemies from his past in order to return home to his family in time for the holidays. Fans are introduced to Lucky in the show’s first episode when Kate meets the one-eyed golden retriever and prevents him from getting run over by a taxi. After dropping him off at her apartment, and learning of his love for pizza, Kate is attacked by the Tracksuit Mafia and saved by Clint.

Fans have already fallen in love with Lucky the Pizza Dog and the animal actor portraying him, Jolt. Taking to Instagram, Jolt, a female retriever, has been treating fans to content relating to her time both on and off the set of Hawkeye for a while now. Most recently, her account posted a video, in which she hilariously snatches a slice of pizza from another dog’s mouth. The witty caption reads: “There can only be one Pizza Dog.” Check out the video below:

Lucky’s appearance in the Marvel series comes as no surprise to avid fans of Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye comics. Originally owned by the Tracksuit Mafia and known as Arrow, the pup was not treated as a companion. When Clint shows him kindness and shares a slice of pizza with him, the two form a relationship that sees Lucky fighting alongside Hawkeye, and eventually Kate Bishop. The character was a large part of the comic’s success, so Marvel’s decision to inject Lucky into the show this early on acts as a service to fans, as well as Matt Fraction’s story.

Judging by the way viewers responded to Lucky’s character following the show’s first two episodes, it seems probable that his role will be big. The series already contains a level of realism that separates it from other current MCU projects, and the addition of Lucky the Pizza Dog provides Hawkeye with more normalized characters as well. Jolt’s social media presence can perhaps aid in promoting the series, since many fans take to sharing her posts and interacting with the retriever in her comments. A scene-stealing sidekick cannot get much cuter than Lucky and fans of Hawkeye can look forward to seeing more of him in upcoming episodes.
