Warning! Potential spoilers for Iron Man #15 by Marvel Comics below

Marvel’s Iron Man is about to get a huge power upgrade, as a new Alex Ross cover shows the hero throwing literal planets in a massive cosmic battle against Korvac. While Tony Stark’s colossal power upgrade from Galactus has been teased before, the new cover for Iron Man #15 features the armored Avenger in one of his grandest battles ever.

In Christopher Cantwell, CAFU, Angel Unzueta, and Frank D’Armata’s Iron Man series, Tony Stark has been through hell and back in his efforts to stop Korvac from reaching the Worldship of Galactus’, Taa II. After assembling his own squad of heroes to travel space and stop the villain, Tony Stark ended up getting teleported to a distant planet where he was stuck in a colony ran by Stilt-Man. However, the Living Tribunal recently intervened and told him he needed Iron Man to restore cosmic balance and stop Korvac – leading to Iron Man and Avro-X getting teleported to Taa II. However, Korvac murdered Avro-X on the ship and nearly took out Tony before his friends arrived in the nick of time to save him.

In new solicits for Iron Man #15 by Cantwell, Ibraim Roberson, and Alex Ross, Tony Stark has channeled Galactus’ incredible powers as he’s become a Celestial-sized hero. Unfortunately for Iron Man, Korvac also gained similar powers. As a result, iron Man and Korvac will tear through different galaxies and dimensions in what’s set to be an epic fight between the pair. Check out the spectacular cover for the issue by Alex Ross, where Iron Man and Korvac throw literal planets at each other.

The solicit also teases that Tony Stark’s “tiny human” friends will try to stop their old friend before it’s too late. It will be interesting to see how Stark channels the powers of a god, as his ego is already all over the map lately. Stark will surely brag to his teammates and fellow Avengers that he was once a God. Although, the transformation has serious potential to screw up his psyche even further.

It’s safe to assume this is one of the strongest versions of Iron Man ever, but the fact his villain will also possess strength on a cosmic-god level means one heck of a fight is about to break out across the galaxy. Will Tony Stark survive the encounter and will his friends be able to turn him back before he becomes corrupted by the insane power? Iron Man #15 by Marvel Comics is in stores in December.
