If you like fantasy/horror genre and zombies, you probably know the TV show iZombie. It quickly gained the love of many viewers, especially thanks to its specific style of humor, intriguing crime cases it solved along the way, and of course, its many characters, especially Liv Moore, the doctor turned zombie investigator.

While there were some heroes who got exactly what they deserved, others weren’t so lucky and could have done much better in their lives. There were also those whose lives got cut prematurely, even though they could have achieved so much, if only they were given the chance to do so.

10 Got A Fitting Ending: Peyton Charles

Peyton Charles is Liv’s best friend and has been so for many years. The two young women live together and Peyton becomes worried for Liv after the fateful boat party. She doesn’t know that Liv turned into a zombie and she’s worried her best friend is wasting her life away. Peyton is a very intelligent, ambitious and fearless lawyer who also has a knack for getting into trouble. She faces a lot of problems during the show but always manages to come up with a solution. She also works very hard so it feels fitting and well-deserved that she ends up working as the D.A. of Atlanta in the end.

9 Deserved More: Evan Moore

Evan Moore is Liv’s younger brother who appears only a few times in the show, but even despite that, his fate leaves a lot to be desired. Evan seems as kind-hearted as his sister is but unaware of what he’s getting into, he gets a job at the butcher shop Meat Cute controlled by Blaine. Evan has no idea that the butcher shop only serves as a front for harvesting and selling human brains to zombies. He’s later seriously injured when the shop explodes and when his mom asks Liv to give him her blood, Liv has to refuse because she would infect Evan this way. Unfortunately, their mom doesn’t know that and she stops the siblings from staying in touch. If that wasn’t enough, Evan later gets cancer. That’s tough for a young kid who just wanted to stay in touch with his sister and hid his sexual orientation in front of his family.

8 Got A Fitting Ending: Major Lilywhite

Major Lilywhite is Liv’s ex-fiancé. She breaks up with him when she becomes a zombie but she doesn’t tell Major the real reason why she left him. Despite their break-up, the bond between them is still strong and even though both of them briefly date other people and are even in love with others, they’re still close. Just like Liv, Major eventually becomes a zombie and he chooses to remain one as well. In the end, he and Liv end up living on Zombie Island with a group of adopted zombie children and they seem to be happy together. Major deserves a happy ending considering he almost died multiple times and wasn’t able to save many people even though he tried to do his best for them.

7 Deserved More: Lowell Tracey

To say that Liv isn’t very lucky when it comes to love and relationships after she becomes a zombie would be a large understatement. First, she’s forced to break up with her fiancé Major even though she still loves him. Liv later starts dating Lowell Tracey who confesses to her he’s also a zombie, even though he does a better job of masking it than Liv does.

Lowell is attentive and kind and he decides to help Liv with her plan to kill Blaine. But Liv changes her mind, and Lowell decides to take down Blaine anyway. Unfortunately, Blaine finds out Lowell’s plan and kills him, breaking Liv’s heart in the process. Lowell was just trying to do the best for the woman he loved so he deserved better than to die in front of her eyes.

6 Got A Fitting Ending: Ravi Chakrabarti

Ravi Chakrabarti is a good friend of Liv’s and he’s also her co-worker. He finds out fairly soon that Liv is a zombie and begins working on developing an anti-zombie vaccine that would cure Liv and transform her into a human again. Even though he succeeds in creating a working vaccine that he ends up testing on himself, Liv never takes it in the end. Ravi does his best to help the people who became zombies against their own will and it’s only appropriate he ends up married to the woman he loved for years, considering how much he had sacrificed along the way.

5 Deserved More: Drake Holloway

Another one of Liv’s boyfriends who meets his untimely end in the show is Drake Holloway. At first, it seems that Drake is just another one of the bad guys but Liv later finds out that Drake is actually an undercover Seattle cop. He’s kidnapped and turned into a violent zombie with no hope of getting better. Liv is forced to kill Drake even though she still loves him. Drake might have done some seemingly bad things, but he did all of them to help the law, and in the end, perished at the hands of people who abused others, even though he was a good guy at heart and deserved better.

4 Got A Fitting Ending: Clive Babineaux

Clive Babineaux is a homicide detective who begins working with Liv early in the first season after she proves her useful skills in getting into the murdered victims’ heads. Clive later dates FBI agent Dale Bozzio who temporarily becomes a zombie but Liv gives up the cure for Dale so that she and Clive could have children together.

The couple eventually gets married. Clive was willing to give up on his wish to have children if it meant getting to stay with Dale, and if that’s not noble and doesn’t mean that he deserved his happy ending, then it’s difficult to say what else is. Not to mention the many crimes he solved, and the bad guys he brought to justice.

3 Deserved More: Isobel Bloom

Isobel’s storyline is one of the most tragic ones in the entire show, and that’s saying a lot. Isobel is a young girl whom Liv smuggles to Seattle. Isobel has a terminal illness and hopes that if she becomes a zombie, she’ll get better and gets to live. This procedure normally works, but in Isobel’s case, when Liv tries to turn her into a zombie, she fails. Isobel later dies and Ravi makes a new cure from her brain. Isobel was too young to die this way, she was sweet, kind, positive, and deserved to survive and discover the world, just like she once wanted to.

2 Got A Fitting Ending: Liv Moore

At first, after Liv became a zombie, she isolated herself from the rest of the world. She broke up with Major and she gave up the job she loved because she was afraid she’d no longer be able to be around living people. But as time went on, Liv started seeing the advantages of being a zombie, since she could help people this way, and in the end, she chose to remain a zombie and live happily with Major. Liv has helped to avenge the death of so many people and she cured those who would have otherwise died, so it seems that she deserved her happily ever after with Major.

1 Deserved More: Levon Patch

Levon is decided to make a documentary film about Renegade, a woman smuggling terminally ill people into Seattle to save their lives by turning them into zombies. When Liv assumes the position of the Renegade, she and Levon grow closer and fall in love. Their relationship doesn’t last long since Chase Graves executes Levon in the final episode of the fourth season. Levon risked his life multiple times to bring terminally ill people to Seattle where they could be saved and he was there for Liv when she doubted herself, so it seems cruel that he died this way when he could have achieved even more had he stayed alive.
