A fierce new Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure cosplay shows Part 6: Stone Ocean hero Jolyne Cujoh in a colorful new light. As the only child of Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne is the first women JOJO of the eight-part series by creator Araki Hirohiko. A recent Part 9 title JOJOLANDS was announced after the conclusion of Part 8: JoJolion, along with several other projects.

In Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean, Jolyne is sentenced to 15 years in the Green Dolphin State Prison, a fictitious place in the real state of Florida near Port. St. Lucie. After taking the fault for a deadly car accident at the hands of her boyfriend Romeo, the young Joestar is quickly drawn into the bizarre world of Stands. Unaware of her own Stand powers Jolyne learns her sentencing is part of a bigger scheme related to her family’s past. Like any Joestar, Jolyne sets out to unravel the truth behind her wrongful sentencing and save her father from the mysterious villain inside the prison.

Cosplayer @VantaBlackCos captures Jolyne in a dreamlike cosplay post on Twitter in celebration of the Netflix anime premiere. Nearly three years after the 2018 Part 5: Golden Wind anime following Giorno Giovana, the son of Dio, Netflix announced Part 6: Stone Ocean to air on the streaming platform just as OVA Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. This makes it the first Jojo part to not stream under Crunchyroll and Funimation. A new Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 one-shot manga will follow short stories of Jolyne in Fujiko’s Bizarre Survival Skills: Whitesnake’s Miscalculation by mangaka Shou Aimoto.

Known for her natural hair cosplays, Vanta’s blue puffballs and green bangs set the tone for Jolyne’s iconic look, along with the Joestar birthmark. The background effects also add a creative touch to the cosplay as Jolyne’s tattoo and front insignia are butterflies. The butterfly is symbolic throughout Part 6 as it represents change and hope, which are two things Jolyne personifies. On top of the gorgeous background, the posing is equally as symbolic as Jolyne copies her father’s iconic pose inspired by American actor Clint Eastwood.

Unlike Jotaro, who had the support of his grandfather Joseph to teach him about Stands, Jolyne figured out her Stand Stone Free by herself. Going as far as to name her Stand as a reminder of her goal to break out of prison the name actually came from the popular Jimi Hendrix song. Regardless, Jolyne is force to be reckoned with in this colorful Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure cosplay by @VantaBlackCos.
