It’s impossible to escape all of the DC’s Suicide Squad marketing ahead of this late summer film. Known as the “worst heroes ever,” this band of baddies has been assembled by A.R.G.U.S., a clandestine military organization, to bring down an enemy that the government can’t have an official hand in. If brightly colored posters and a fantastic soundtrack aren’t enough hype for one of the most buzzed about films of 2016, then perhaps a behind-the-scenes look into the characters themselves or these eight new clips that were released at Comic-Con will do the trick.

For insight onto why fans are obsessed with these bad guys, a criminal profiler spoke on the topic at San Diego Comic-Con. While it’s been fun to watch this film unfold, no one is more captivating than Mr. J. Viewers have already marveled at Jared Leto’s interpretation of Joker and now we get a better look at one of his creepier tattoos.

Empire Magazine has already released their subscriber exclusive Harley Quinn cover for their September issue, and now we get to see Joker’s scary mug grace the newsstand covers. While his “Damaged” tattoo may be the most prominent (in the middle of his forehead), the smile on the back of his hand presents a far more sinister picture when positioned properly. See for yourself below:

In this Joker-centric trailer, we see a version of the character that is just as sadistic as he is crazy. With the history that he and Harley share, it’s going to be interesting to see the lengths he’ll go to in order to have her back at his side. Not quite as extreme as the skin wearing Joker of DC New 52 and far more calculating than the Jokers from Batman Beyond, Leto’s portrayal is sure to make waves in the DC cannon. His on-set antics and deep dive into method acting, including sharing this selfie from set, are some indications that he’s sure to provide fans with an unforgettable performance.
