A talented fan recently revealed a Justice League game which they created in Dreams because Warner Bros. has not yet given the superhero team their own title. Media Molecule’s PlayStation 4 title Dreams is a game creation system which lets players create and share their own game assets while also experiencing content made by others. While no official Justice League game currently exists, Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming title Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will include DC superheroes as enemies for the titular team of outlaws to tackle.

Created by the esteemed developer of the Batman: Arkham trilogy, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will put players in control of four morally ambiguous DC characters. Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark will each bring their own strengths and weaknesses to bear as players fight their way through an open-world Metropolis. An attack by the intergalactic villain Brainiac has apparently left the Justice League brainwashed, forcing the Suicide Squad to somehow take down the most powerful heroes on the planet. Rocksteady’s forthcoming title will apparently mix open-world exploration with third-person shooter mechanics, marking a major change from the Arkham series. However, references to the Batman: Arkham trilogy have been spotted in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, suggesting a strong link to Rocksteady’s past DC titles.

Since the iconic team of heroes will only appear as brainwashed villains in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Reddit user TheRedProphett has taken it upon themself to make their own Justice League game in Dreams. The superhero brawler is impressively in-depth, with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman all bringing their own unique moves to the table. The Man of Steel hovers above the ground and overwhelms foes with a flurry of punches, while a power-up seems to charge him with yellow sun power. The Dark Knight employs a mix of close-quarters attacks and batarangs, and a breathtaking special attack lets him bombard enemies from the Batwing. Finally, Wonder Woman uses a sword and shield to defeat her opponents, and activating the Lasso of Truth greatly increases her combat range.

While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will put a huge focus on DC Comics’ premier crimefighting force, many gamers want the opportunity to actually play as their favorite heroes rather than fight them. While no hints have been given so far, a secret new DC game from WB Games Montreal could potentially deliver that for fans. The developer is known for creating Batman: Arkham Origins, a 2013 prequel to Rocksteady’s beloved trilogy, and it is currently developing the upcoming cooperative title Gotham Knights. Alongside this project, which sees Batman’s allies unite to protect Gotham after the Dark Knight’s untimely death, a second project could potentially star one or more members of the Justice League.

With the success of games such as the Batman: Arkham series and Marvel’s Spider-Man, many comic book fans are clamoring to see their favorite heroes become a AAA action game. While an open-world adventure starring the entire Justice League may not be feasible, TheRedProphett’s Dreams creation proves that the team could easily star in an intense brawler. By giving each member of DC’s Trinity their own unique skills, the Dreams project could have players begging for an official Justice League game from Warner Bros.
