Keeping Up With The Kardashians Ryan Seacrest Teases SpinOffs After Show’s End

Keeping Up with the Kardashians has announced its end after 20 seasons. But, executive producer Ryan Seacrest is already teasing possible spin-off shows. This comes amid reports some of the famous siblings were over filming and threatened their exits.

Fans of the long-running show were left shocked after Kim Kardashian disclosed KUWTK’s end on Tuesday. The show premiered in 2007, at the height of Kim’s infamous sex tape scandal with her ex-boyfriend Ray J. Viewers watched the family grow into international superstars. Throughout the show, the Kardashian-Jenner clan was transparent about their marriages, divorces, and journeys into parenthood. But, all that is coming to an end in 2021. Reports continue to surface about what led to the show’s end, with sources saying the wealthy family had been considering ending the hit series for the last few years.

Now that the Kardashians have finally decided to let it go, Seacrest discussed the family’s future. While speaking with ET, Seacrest was asked if there will be any upcoming spin-off shows focused on the group. “I don’t know the answer to that. We have not crossed that bridge yet,” Seacrest shared. “I do know that the family is so grateful for having the opportunity at E! and having people ride along with them through relationships, and pregnancies, and separations, and breakups…It’s pretty cool to see that they have been so vulnerable and open and people have ridden along,” he added.

Amid reports that the show ended after Kim, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner threatened to quit, Seacrest touched on how ending the show became a “very hard decision” for the entire family. “I know, even before and after the announcement came out, they were emotional,” he revealed. Fans watched Kris Jenner’s children grow up in front of the cameras into parents with their own children, but now they’re looking to live a more private life. “You look back at 14 years and 20 seasons of a camera in your life and think about that, at some point you’re gonna say, ‘You know, we did it. We had a great run. We’re gonna live with a little more privacy in our lives.’ And I think they just felt like now is the time to do it,” Seacrest added.

Though Kim, Kourtney, and Kylie were ready to call it quits, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick were reportedly devastated by the news of the show’s end. KUWTK has already produced numerous spin-offs including Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Dash Dolls, Rob & Chyna, Life of Kylie, and I Am Cait, among others. This means another spin-off isn’t out of the realm of possibility. It seems unlikely fans have seen the last of the Kardashians on their screens, especially since some members of the family were less sure about ending the show. Keeping Up with the Kardashians is set to return to E! for the second half of Season 18 on September 17. The final season will air in February 2021, and the fashionable family is sure to go out in style.
