Let’s Sing 2022 has eight different game modes to perform both new and classic songs. Some modes will let players team up with people or AIs, and some have players competing to be the best. There are 30 songs in the base tracklist for Let’s Sing 2022 and more packs to buy to expand the title’s setlist. Developed by Voxler and published by Ravenscourt and Koch Media, Let’s Sing 2022 is a fun karaoke experience with a variety of game modes to explore.

At its core, Let’s Sing 2022 is a great karaoke simulator experience that incorporates co-op play and minigames, such as Piggy Box, where players need to collect coins by getting chains of perfect notes. In order to beat any of the game modes, following along as the screen side scrolls through a song with lyrics and bars that represent the pitch of the artist is necessary. Matching the pitch earns points, but missing notes will break combos and can even mean failure for minigames like Bomb Track, where players defuse bombs with their singing.

Like Let’s Sing 2021, this new installment features the Legend game mode, which acts as a career mode for solo players. In Legend, there are minigames and boss battles that get progressively harder and require more points to beat. Players will need to practice their timing, pitch control, and build up their stamina in order to defeat the late-game bosses. To practice, performers can try songs on Classic mode or create their own mixtapes with five songs each. Alternatively, the Mixtape mode has a set of preselected tracks mixed together with a high score tracker to compare against friends’ performances.

As with many popular party games, such as the recent Jackbox Party Pack 8, players can use their smartphones to participate in Let’s Sing 2022. For those that don’t have a microphone readily available, there’s an app for Let’s Sing that turns any smartphone into a microphone. Connecting a phone to the game is easy and there aren’t any frequent issues with disconnecting as long as there’s a good Internet connection. The one downside is that there’s a minor lag, so in fast-paced songs it’s possible to miss notes without starting a little before the game’s audio cues would normally indicate.

The base tracklist for Let’s Sing 2022 is diverse and includes a decent range of genres. From Crazy Town’s “Butterfly,” to “A Whole New World,” from Aladdin, or “Ashes to Ashes” by David Bowie, there are songs for almost any fan of karaoke. Let’s Sing also offers various music packs for a small fee that are grouped into specific categories like the best of the 80s or 90s. Regardless of whether or not songs are purchased, Let’s Sing 2022 includes many tracks with a wide range of difficulty and pitch variations.

Players that are familiar with the Let’s Sing series can expect more of the same from Let’s Sing 2022. The game modes, minigames, and avatars are the same as Let’s Sing 2021, so there’s nothing really unique about Let’s Sing 2022 except for its tracklist. Although playing on a smartphone is convenient, there is a lag in the audio that players may need to work around. However, it doesn’t affect gameplay much unless players are singing a fast-paced song against a difficult boss. Whether playing solo or with others, players can enjoy the fun variety of songs in Let’s Sing 2022.
