Life is Strange: True Colors is a narrative-driven experience from developer Deck Nine, who has previously worked on Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The newest entry in the series showcases a whole new story that sees players take control of Alex Chen. Using her empathic abilities, Alex must solve a personal mystery in the seemingly idyllic Haven Springs, but there’s also time for a few detours.
The Black Lantern bar in Life is Strange: True Colors Chapter 1 has a lot of cool places to explore. A few retro arcade games can be played, and players can engage in a guessing game with potential love interest Steph.
Best Questions to Ask Steph for the Jukebox Game
Although Deck Nine’s story differs from the past two Life is Strange games in some areas, having small moments of silliness is still included. To avoid taking the Bedazzled Kiwi Schnapps, and force Steph to face the shot instead, Alex must guess the song she has picked on the Jukebox. She has to ask 5 questions before players can guess an answer.
The correct song for the jukebox game in Life is Strange: True Colors can be worked out if players ask these questions:
- Band Name Question – Has a symbol?
- Song Title Question – Four words or more?
- Song Title Question – Curse word?
- Cover Art Question – People on the cover?
- Personal Question – Why do you like it?
Correct Song Choice for the Jukebox Game
From the information returning Life is Strange character Steph gives Alex, players know that the band has a symbol in its name and that the song title has four words or more, with no curse words. The cover art doesn’t have people on it, and Steph likes the song because it has an interesting title that makes her laugh.
There is only one track that fits all of these requirements, so players can win the jukebox game with Steph by picking “Kiss Up and Shut Me” by the F*ckadelics.
Steph drinks the shot and shares a small moment with Alex. It’s not one of the biggest actions players can take in the game, but as Life is Strange: True Colors takes a less episodic approach, they can see how tiny interactions like this can affect their story sooner.
After playing the jukebox game, Alex can try to get the correct Duckie and Diane order to impress Jed, or clean up the area where Mac is sitting. Approaching Mac will trigger a scene where Alex will need to make a major decision. All of the choices made throughout a chapter can be viewed before the beginning of the next one.
Life is Strange: True Colors is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and will release later for Switch.
