Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been sweeping the gaming world as the current big thing in squishy battle royale titles. But why is it so popular? Is it the fairness of the courses that gives everyone a chance? Maybe it’s the slightly slippery controls which put every player at a disadvantage? Or how about the cutesy visuals that appeal to all ages?

Nope. The biggest draw is clearly the titular guys of the falling variety. Which guys? All the guys. Guys of all shapes and genders have driven the entertainment world since the dawn of guy. But guy forbid they only get their time in the spotlight with this adorable game. So to honor the guys of old, here’s a list of shows and films featuring guys and guy-adjacent individuals who will make anyone say “yep, that’s a guy.”

The Fall Guy

Don’t get confused. While this 80’s series has little to do with pastel-colored obstacle courses, it’s got the guys where it counts. Starring famous guy Lee Majors as a Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a bounty hunter, The Fall Guy ran from 1981 to 1986 and featured a wealth of guys. Majors played main guy Colt Seavers, who was often joined by fellow stunt guys Howie Munson (played by Douglas Barr) and Jody Banks (Heather Thomas). The Fall Guy features plenty of stunts and the guys who perform them.

Season 1 is available to stream on Amazon Prime and Hulu, though unfortunately the later 4 seasons are currently unavailable. Clearly 6 seasons was too much guy for them to take.

The Nice Guys

Now here are a couple of guys who live up to the name. That’s not to say they’re particularly nice, but they are particularly guys. This brilliant 2016 noir action comedy stars Russel Crowe as the no-nonsense enforcer Jackson Healy who is not your buddy, guy. Contrary to his mannerisms, Healy finds himself working with private detective Holland March (Ryan Gosling) to find a missing teenage girl, and the guyjinks ensue. If there’s one entry on this list that everyone should check out, it’s this one. The Nice Guys is not only prime guy material, but audiences seemingly forgot about it almost immediately, and these guys deserve more love than they got.

The Nice Guys is available for streaming on HBO Now and HBO Max. Obviously, only the home of the also excellent Harley Quinn could possibly contain guys of this magnitude.

The Cable Guy

This one shakes up the guy formula a bit, as it focuses mainly on just the one guy. Sure, there are other guys in the story (remember, guy is a state of mind), but the central guy in question is his own unique specimen. Played by Jim Carrey, the cable guy nicknamed Chip is a fascinating case who begins to focus his attention on lesser guy Steven (Matthew Broderick) even though one would think he has bigger fish to guy. This setup results in a stalker story that divides audiences to this day. The Cable Guy is a black comedy that sets itself apart from Carrey’s usual fare of the time, and whether it works is a question that only every individual guy can answer for themselves.

The Cable Guy is available to stream for free (with ads) on IMDb TV. But don’t worry. Annoying commercials only make a true guy stronger.

Family Guy

Family Guy is not for every guy. Indeed, many guys may even denounce this show for its portrayal of guys. But a guy who is secure in their guydentity should be willing to accept all interpretations. Family Guy scarcely requires an introduction, but for the sake of consistency, this long-running animated show features uber-guy Peter Griffin and his family in what is basically a spiritual successor to The Simpsons with the ampliguyer turned to 11. While the show has its critics, clearly it’s done something right, considering how it’s still on the air with a loyal fanbase. Clearly Peter Griffin’s guy status surpasses even the McDonald’s Fry Guys.

Family Guy is available for streaming on Hulu, though it should be easy to find by just glancing at a TV Guyde.

The Master of Disguise

Time to dive into the dregs of movie land. But remember, it’s all about the guys, and here’s a guy who becomes many guys because he’s a master of disguyse. Dana Carvey plays Pistachio, who is frankly pretty recognizable for a disguised guy. The idea is that his family is blessed with the skills of… disguises? Don’t read too much into it, because they clearly didn’t. All that matters is this film is a vehicle for Dana Carvey to trot out his classic impressions from his Saturday Night Live days, and apparently quantity won over quality. Carvey embodies a multitude of guys throughout the movie, and somehow his regular character of Pistachio (with his over-the-top Guytalian accent) is still the most ridiculous. This film is best tolerated with a 6-pack of Guyneken.

The Master of Disguise is only available to buy or rent. So just… don’t. It would be far less painful to give Edward Scissorhands a guy five.

Guy’s Grocery Games

Guy Fieri is the guy all guys aspire to. He raises the bar higher and guyer with each passing day, and it inspires even the lowliest of guys to be the best they can be. Guy’s Grocery Games sees Fieri inviting guys from all over on the show to participate in cooking competitions for the entertainment of all the guys watching. His guylarious jokes and puns add an extra charm to the show’s already charming personality, and as a bonus, the show regularly donates to charity. So take some guy time and binge some of this wholesome fun for guys of all ages. It helps that the dishes they cook all look so appeguyzing.

Hungry guys can stream Guy’s Grocery Games on the Food Network site and app and enjoy some carmelguyzed goodness.

Apologies that this list wasn’t alphabeguyzed. Sometimes these things just happen and orguynization is the furthest thing from the mind. But hopefully that doesn’t stop all the lovely guys of the world from finding some new guy material to enjoy. Hey, if the puns haven’t driven everyone away, surely the order of entries won’t. Fall Guys is only the latest in guy-focused entertainment, and there are always more on the way. So guytail it out there and enjoy all the great (and deguydedly less so) guy things there are to find.
